Las neuronas registradas, de acuerdo a las caracter\u00edsticas electrofisiol\u00f3gicas de su potencial de acci\u00f3n se clasifican en tres tipos: tipo a 46(73,02%), tipo b 10 (15,87%) y tipo c 7 (11,11%).  las neuronas a cuando se despolarizan a valores cercanos al potencial umbral presentan una frecuencia de descarga espont\u00e1nea de 7,66 hz, sin embargo al prefundirse con el agonista colin\u00e9rgico carbacol (cch) (25um) se genera una despolarizaci\u00f3n que cuando alcanza el potencial umbral provoca descargas espont\u00e1neas a una frecuencia de 3,45 hz (p&lt;0,05).  la comparativa disminuci\u00f3n de la frecuencia se debe a un alargamiento en un 60% de la duraci\u00f3n de la posthiperpolarizaci\u00f3n. Esta respuesta est\u00e1 mediada por receptores muscar\u00ednicos ya que la atropina provoca una reversi\u00f3n total de la despolarizaci\u00f3n con un cese de la actividad espont\u00e1nea. Estos resultados sugieren que el cch modula la frecuencia de descarga de la neuronas del nph, lo que en condiciones fisiol\u00f3gicas genera un efecto de un filtro pasabajo de las se\u00f1ales que
