El concepto de pto ha sido registrado en la oficina europea de patentes.La pto fue inicialmente concebida para su integraci\u00f3n en un convertidor girosc\u00f3pico. Sin embargo, dada la universalidad del concepto, la pto puede ser acoplada a cualquier captador de energ\u00eda que cumpla con unos requisitos b\u00e1sicos: movimiento oscilatorio de baja velocidad, alto par y con importantes fluctuaciones de potencia.Un prototipo escalado y el correspondiente banco de ensayos han sido dise\u00f1ados y construidos para llevar a cabo los ensayos de validaci\u00f3n. Los resultados obtenidos en los ensayos se han utilizado para correlacionar el modelo matem\u00e1tico.Los ensayos han permitido definir la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica global de la pto y validar el funcionamiento operativo del dispositivo, demostrando que la salida de la pto puede alimentar un generador el\u00e9ctrico convencional y lograr de esta manera convertir la energ\u00eda de las olas en
