La planificaci\u00f3n de una t\u00e1ctica promocional que favorezca el \u00e9xito comercial de las cintas es una constante en la tray ectoria del director, sobre todo desde que funda su productora, el deseo, en 1985.     esta preocupaci\u00f3n por la publicidad, manifestada tanto en los elementos directos (cartel, tr\u00e1iler, packaging, spot\u00c2\u00bf) como en los indirectos (relaci\u00f3n con los medio s, fiestas de estreno, incentivaci\u00f3n del boca a boca\u00c2\u00bf), se convierte en se\u00f1a de identidad de la factor\u00eda almodovariana y en motivo de distanciamiento entre este director y otros de la cinematograf\u00eda nacional.    valorar de este modo la comunicaci\u00f3n m arca, junto a otros agentes, la carrera de \u00e9xito del cineasta y le posiciona como uno de los referentes de la promoci\u00f3n cinematogr\u00e1fica en espa\u00f1a, impulsando nuevos recursos y soportes, como es el caso de las redes sociales como canal de publicitaci\u00f3 n
