The research has made a considerable progress about those occupational disorders in construction works, processes, and activities during recent decades, although, the subsectors of construction sector are still remaining a pending matter. this research aims to explore and evaluate activities carried out specific tasks dedicated to mechanical installations works in buildings. The data collected covers a sample of 150 workers in a high building under construction in spain during a 12-month period spanning from april 2010 to march 2011. The research analysis was conveyed in a special work environment including material handling equipment in order to reduce or eliminate biomechanical risk factors. Hence, this consideration reflects major ergonomics advantages in the development of the study. work tasks have been identified and included in several groups: construction and installation of ducts, construction and installation of machinery and pipe store aiming the construction of the air conditioning systems including the installation equipment (evaporators and condensers), fire protection assembly line, electrical installations aiming the installation of electrical networks for the distribution to the air conditioning systems, and fine masonry (stucco plaster). once, the processes, activities, and risk factors are defined, the research applied various techniques of direct observation to calculate the exposure level of biomechanical risk factors. In addition, specific software complements the study. The investigation of occupational accidents and diseases collect the development wrmsds and the description of the causes. Furthermore, the interview survey approaches to obtain complementary data about the investigation of occupational accidents and diseases. Finally, the previous epidemiological literature and the case-control study establish the causes of wrmsds. the research demonstrates that mechanical installations workers may develop both &#8211; common and uncommon &#8211; cases of wrmsds in the construction sector. In conclusion, the result relates the main causes of low back pain.   los trastornos musculoesquel\u00e9ticos (tme) en el sector de la construcci\u00f3n constituyen desde d\u00e9cadas un particular caso de estudio y despiertan un gran inter\u00e9s por parte de los pa\u00edses miembros de la ue. Durante las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas se ha avanzado considerablemente sobre el estudio de tme ocupacionales relacionados con los trabajos, procesos y actividades del sector de la construcci\u00f3n. Para los subsectores dependientes de este sector contin\u00faa siendo una materia pendiente. en esta investigaci\u00f3n se realiza un estudio detallado de algunas de las tareas que se llevan a cabo en el sector de la construcci\u00f3n, concretamente, las relacionadas con los operarios de instalaciones mec\u00e1nicas. Durante un periodo de 12 meses comprendido entre el mes de abril del 2010 a marzo de 2011 se recogieron datos de una muestra de 150 trabajadores en la construcci\u00f3n de un edificio de gran envergadura en espa\u00f1a. El an\u00e1lisis ha sido realizado en un entorno de trabajo en el que se dispon\u00eda de medios mec\u00e1nicos para el manejo de cargas, de manera que se propicia la reducci\u00f3n o eliminaci\u00f3n de factores de riesgo biomec\u00e1nico, lo que ha supuesto ventajas de tipo ergon\u00f3mico en el estudio. las tareas fueron identificadas e incluidas dentro de los siguientes gremios: construcci\u00f3n y montaje de redes de conductos para aire acondicionado, construcci\u00f3n y montaje de redes de tuber\u00eda y maquinaria frigor\u00edfica (evaporadoras y condensadoras), redes y montaje de tuber\u00eda de protecci\u00f3n contra incendios, instalaciones el\u00e9ctricas para los equipos de aire acondicionado y alba\u00f1iler\u00eda fina. una vez definidos los procesos, actividades y los factores de riesgo, se aplican m\u00e9todos ergon\u00f3micos de observaci\u00f3n directa para el c\u00e1lculo del nivel de exposici\u00f3n a los factores de riesgo biomec\u00e1nico, a lo que se a\u00f1ade el complemento de uso de software espec\u00edfico. En la investigaci\u00f3n de accidentes y enfermedades profesionales se recogen los trastornos musculoesquel\u00e9ticos ocupacionales desarrollados y las identificaci\u00f3n de las causas relacionadas. Como medio adicional, se realiza una entrevista con el fin de obtener una descripci\u00f3n de datos que complete el estudio epidemiol\u00f3gico de la investigaci\u00f3n de accidentes y enfermedades profesionales. Finalmente, la aplicaci\u00f3n epidemiol\u00f3gica anal\u00edtica de recopilaci\u00f3n de casos previos de la literatura y el estudio de casos y controles permitar\u00e1n obtener las causas de los tme ocupacionales. los resultados identifican tme tanto comunes como no comunes al sector de la construcci\u00f3n, siendo interesante la identificaci\u00f3n de causas ergon\u00f3micas asociadas
