El proceso requiere la translocaci\u00f3n del efector bact eriano tir (del ingl\u00e9s translocated intimin receptor) en el citoplasma de la c\u00e9lula hospedadora a trav\u00e9s del sistema de secreci\u00f3n tipo iii (ttss). La inserci\u00f3n de tir en la membrana plasm\u00e1tica de la c\u00e9lula conlleva la fosforilaci\u00f3n en residuos de tir osina, reclutando as\u00ed la prote\u00edna adaptadora nck. Nck activa n-wasp (del ingl\u00e9s neural wiskott-aldrich syndrome protein) estimulando la polimerizaci\u00f3n de actina mediada por el complejo arp2\/3. La infecci\u00f3n por epec provoca el reclutamiento de diversa s prote\u00ednas de la c\u00e9lula eucariota, muchas de ellas implicadas en la regulaci\u00f3n del citoesqueleto de actina, como cortactina. Cortactina activa el complejo arp2\/3 y n-wasp promoviendo la polimerizaci\u00f3n de actina mediante dos mecanismos diferentes. En  esta tesis se estudia la participaci\u00f3n de cortactina en la ruta de formaci\u00f3n de pedestales por epec. Adem\u00e1s se estudia el papel en este proceso de otras prote\u00ednas reclutadas por la bacteria, las prote\u00ednas adaptadoras de la familia crk. Por \u00faltimo, s e investiga el mecanismo por el cual los fibroblastos embrionarios de rat\u00f3n que carecen de la prote\u00edna nck, presentan niveles reducidos de tir tras ser infectados por
