Es frecuente sobre todo en mujeres postmenopa\u00fasicas.  \tse han descrito multitud de t\u00e9cnicas quir\u00fargicas. Actualmente no se ha demostrado que ning\u00fan tratamiento sea superior a otro y es la opini\u00f3n y experiencia del cirujano uno de los principales puntos a tener en cuenta a la hora de escoger el tratamiento m\u00e1s adecuado.  \trealizamos un estudio cl\u00ednico prospectivo comparando tres tratamientos quir\u00fargicos: artroplastia de resecci\u00f3n\/suspensi\u00f3n, artroplastia de resecci\u00f3n\/interposici\u00f3n y pr\u00f3tesis total trapeciometacarpiana. Valoramos par\u00e1metros subjetivos (dolor y satisfacci\u00f3n), objetivos (fuerza de pu\u00f1o y pinza, balance articular) y radiol\u00f3gicos. Se realiza valoraci\u00f3n preoperatoria, a los 3, 6 y 12 meses.   \tlas pr\u00f3tesis trapeciometacarpianas consiguen los mejores valores postoperatorios y de forma m\u00e1s precoz, seguidos por la artroplastia de resecci\u00f3n\/suspensi\u00f3n y por la artroplastia de resecci\u00f3n\/interposici\u00f3n.  palabras clave: rizartrosis, pulgar, artroplastia, pr\u00f3tesis  abstract \ttrapeziometacarpal osteoarthritis is a disabling disease that causes pain, loss of strength and stiffness of the thumb basal joint.  It is a common condition especially in postmenopausical women.  \tthere are multiple surgical techniques described. Nowadays there is no evidence that one procedure is superior to other and it&apos;s the surgeon experience and preferences the basis to choose between different surgical options.  \twe present a prospective clinical follow-up study comparing the efficacy of three surgical techniques: ligament reconstruction and tendon interposition arthroplasty, tendon interposition arthroplasty and total basal joint replacement. \tclinical subjective parameters (pain and satisfaction), objective parameters (grip and pinch strength, articular range of motion) and radiological parameters were measured. They were determined preoperatively and at 3, 6, and 12 months postoperatively.  \tjoint replacement surgery resulted in the best outcomes parameters with faster convalescence, followed by ligament
