An\u00e1lisis y perspectivas ha tenido por objeto el territorio de la comarca de mula (compuesta por los municipios de mula, pliego, albudeite y campos del r\u00edo), situada en el centro geogr\u00e1fico de la regi\u00f3n de murcia, para intentar comprender los factores que condicionan su estado socioecon\u00f3mico, as\u00ed como los cambios sufridos en el paisaje desde los a\u00f1os 80, \u00e9poca donde se produce una profunda transformaci\u00f3n en el regad\u00edo del sureste de la pen\u00ednsula ib\u00e9rica, debido a la llegada de las aguas del trasvase tajo-segura. En los espacios receptores, se crea desde entonces una peligrosa dependencia de los recursos for\u00e1neos.  metodolog\u00eda \tla metodolog\u00eda de trabajo se ha basado en la b\u00fasqueda y conocimiento de la bibliograf\u00eda relacionada con el \u00e1rea de estudio, y el an\u00e1lisis de fotograf\u00edas a\u00e9reas; la percepci\u00f3n de los agentes que participan de las decisiones de la administraci\u00f3n territorial, ya sea t\u00e9cnicos agr\u00edcolas, directivos de comunidades de regantes, etc. Ha sido esencial el trabajo de campo y la realizaci\u00f3n de encuestas para captar las vivencias de los habitantes relacionados con el \u00e1mbito rural (agricultores, regantes, propietarios y trabajadores agr\u00edcolas). Un an\u00e1lisis regional que ha servido para describir el \u00e1rea, tanto los factores f\u00edsicos que caracterizan este territorio como la incidencia de las actuaciones humanas, la mayor parte de ellas relacionadas con el uso del agua.  resultados  \tla primera parte se destina a la descripci\u00f3n de los principales rasgos del \u00e1rea de estudio, destacando el car\u00e1cter cerrado del entorno, ya que coinciden en gran medida los l\u00edmites administrativos de la comarca, con el espacio de cuenca sedimentaria ocupada por la red hidrogr\u00e1fica del r\u00edo mula. \tel an\u00e1lisis de la poblaci\u00f3n refleja la escasa representatividad del peso comarcal en el conjunto de la regi\u00f3n de murcia (2%), a pesar del incremento producido en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os por el efecto de la inmigraci\u00f3n. Destaca, en cuanto a ocupaci\u00f3n, el sector agr\u00edcola, pero con numerosos problemas, como la dependencia del agua y otros problemas como el minifundio.  \tse ha observado la poca relevancia de las pol\u00edticas comunitarias. Ayudas como leader, a trav\u00e9s de los fondos econ\u00f3micos feder y feaga a trav\u00e9s de proyectos locales coordinados por el grupo de acci\u00f3n local integral, han puesto en funcionamiento proyectos en casi todos los sectores productivos pero, la mayor parte de ellos, no rebasan el \u00e1mbito local. \tuno de los objetivos del trabajo ha sido el an\u00e1lisis espacial y social de los procesos de mejora y modernizaci\u00f3n de regad\u00edos con aguas del trasvase tajo-segura, destacando la concentraci\u00f3n parcelaria y transformaci\u00f3n de secano a regad\u00edo en la pedan\u00eda de y\u00e9char (mula), actuaci\u00f3n que provoc\u00f3 un profundo cambio, ya no s\u00f3lo en la estructura parcelaria, sino en todo el paisaje y en las formas de vida de los habitantes. \tlos espacios de regad\u00edo tradicional, por su parte, presentan otros problemas, como el cambio de uso del suelo, con la aparici\u00f3n en muchas parcelas de infraestructuras que nada tienen que ver con la agricultura, como viviendas, piscinas, aparcamientos,&#8230; La mejora de los caminos rurales incluidos en los planes de modernizaci\u00f3n, ha facilitado el acceso a los espacios regados. \ten este estudio tambi\u00e9n se aborda el rico patrimonio hidr\u00e1ulico generado por el uso y gesti\u00f3n tradicional del agua. La mayor concentraci\u00f3n de ingenios hidr\u00e1ulicos se encuentran en el eje de la acequia mayor de mula, pero tambi\u00e9n existen otros complejos como el de la fuente de los ca\u00f1os en pliego, con el proyecto de la calle del agua, o las norias que elevaban el caudal de las acequias de cara y daya, en los t\u00e9rminos de albudeite y campos del r\u00edo. Y otros complejos que necesitan nuevos proyectos de revitalizaci\u00f3n como el \u00e1rea de los ba\u00f1os de mula.  conclusiones y propuestas \ten las conclusiones se destaca que el espacio comarcal de la cuenca de mula constituye en la actualidad un espacio perif\u00e9rico a los ejes de desarrollo de la regi\u00f3n de murcia. Esto ha conllevado un retraso econ\u00f3mico con respecto a la media regional. En cambio, la puesta en uso de la autov\u00eda rm-15, puede incentivar las oportunidades de crecimiento y valorar opciones de ocupaci\u00f3n familiar o estimar la oportunidad que ofrece este lugar para desarrollar proyectos dentro de cualquier sector (agrario, industrial, de ocio, tur\u00edstico, etc.). Por el contrario, en el sector agr\u00edcola la escasez de agua genera incertidumbre en los agricultores regantes, sobre todo aquellos que dependen \u00edntegramente de los recursos enviados desde el tajo, como ocurre en y\u00e9char. \tel trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n ha concluido con una serie de propuestas, como mejorar la eficiencia del uso del agua e intentar no depender de proyectos que necesiten recursos h\u00eddricos for\u00e1neos, sobre todo hoy en d\u00eda viendo el fr\u00e1gil equilibrio que tiene el futuro del trasvase tajo-segura. En el caso de los regad\u00edos de y\u00e9char, a pesar de contar con una dotaci\u00f3n establecida por ley, ser\u00eda conveniente disponer de otros recursos en situaciones de sequ\u00eda, que evitasen la p\u00e9rdida de arbolado y las producciones.  \taplicar las tic en la planificaci\u00f3n y control de los espacios regados. Incentivar productos de calidad, productos con denominaci\u00f3n de origen, que puedan competir en el mercado global. Desarrollar nuevas t\u00e9cnicas que permitan mejorar la eficiencia del agua disponible por parte de las comunidades de regantes (mayor control de riegos, \u00faltimos adelantos para evitar p\u00e9rdidas por evaporaci\u00f3n en conducciones y embalses, orientaci\u00f3n de cultivos menos exigentes en agua, etc.). Aprovechar la mejora de las comunicaciones comarcales para favorecer el inter\u00e9s por asentarse en esta \u00e1rea con campa\u00f1as publicitarias a nivel global (oferta de suelo industrial, servicios m\u00e1s econ\u00f3micos, calidad de vida, etc.), A la poblaci\u00f3n de otras \u00e1reas inmediatas m\u00e1s din\u00e1micas pero masificadas, como el valle del segura y guadalent\u00edn. Integrar el patrimonio hidr\u00e1ulico dentro de los recursos e itinerarios tur\u00edsticos de la comarca, y potenciar los espacios con recursos end\u00f3genos a trav\u00e9s de planes de dinamizaci\u00f3n en los ba\u00f1os de mula o la ribera de los molinos, ambos en el recorrido de la v\u00eda verde del noroeste-r\u00edo mula, que aunque no consigan asentamientos permanentes, s\u00ed lograr visitas que permitan el desarrollo local.           lopez fernandez, jose antonio.
