Debido al enorme inter\u00e9s que losnano l\u00e1tex han recibido \u00faltimamente, se pueden encontrar diferentes rutas sint\u00e9ticas en la literatura. Enesta tesis, nanopart\u00edculas con tama\u00f1os entre 13-37 nm fueron obtenidas utilizando una estrategia basadaen la teor\u00eda de srnith-ewart, utilizando la estrategia mencionada, se llev\u00f3 a cabo un estudiopormenorizado de los par\u00e1metros que afectan al tama\u00f1o de part\u00edcula de los nanol\u00e1tex sintetizados. Se vioque el tama\u00f1o de part\u00edcula es dependiente de varios par\u00e1metros de reacci\u00f3n y de esta forma, pudieronobtenerse nanopart\u00edculas tan peque\u00f1as como 13 mn con una relaci\u00f3n de contenido en s\u00f3lidos\/    (emulsificante\/pol\u00edmero) superior a 7. Tambi\u00e9n se abord\u00f3 la s\u00edntesis de l\u00e1tex funcionalizados y laposibilidad de substituir los emulsificantes convencionales por emulsificantes polimerizables. Debido aque los l\u00e1tex sintetizados a\u00fan presentaban un contenido en s\u00f3lidos bajo para algunas aplicaciones, seexplor\u00f3 la s\u00edntesis de nano l\u00e1tex con mayores contenidos en s\u00f3lidos. Utilizando una estrategia basada endos etapas, se pudieron obtener nanol\u00e1tex con tama\u00f1os de part\u00edcula tan peque\u00f1os como 32 nm ycontenido en s\u00f3lidos de 36% en peso, con una relaci\u00f3n de contenido en s\u00f3lidos\/(emulsificante\/pol\u00edmero)mayor que 26. Por \u00faltimo, se estudi\u00f3 el efecto de la adici\u00f3n de algunos nano l\u00e1tex sintetizados en estatesis sobre las prestaciones de pinturas comerciales en base acuosa. Se observ\u00f3 que la resistencia albloqueo se mejor\u00f3 considerablemente y, en la mayor\u00eda de los casos, la adici\u00f3n del nano l\u00e1tex fuebeneficiosa en la mayor\u00eda de las mezclas.
