Como pol\u00edmero base para el estudio preliminar de moldeo por inyecci\u00f3n de espumaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica se ha seleccionado el estireno acrilonitrilo (san. Para la segunda etapa se seleccionaron el polietielen tereftalato-glicol, petg y el etileno-propileno copol\u00edmero en bloque epbc para estudiar las estructuras celulares obtenidas por moldeo por inyecci\u00f3n tanto por medio de espumaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica, mucell\u00c2\u00ae, como a trav\u00e9s de espumaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica.  los par\u00e1metros de proceso de inyecci\u00f3n elegidos como variables de estudio han sido la temperatura de inyecci\u00f3n, temperatura de molde, velocidad de inyecci\u00f3n y el porcentaje de gas. En funci\u00f3n del tipo de estudio se han seleccionado distintas geometr\u00edas (halterio tipo 1a y\/o placa de 100 mm por lado por 5 mm de espesor. La caracterizaci\u00f3n de la morfolog\u00eda celular se llev\u00f3 a cabo mediante sem y microscop\u00eda \u00f3ptica. En algunos casos se llev\u00f3 a cabo una caracterizaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica mediante dsc y dmta. Finalmente, la caracterizaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica se realiz\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s de ensayos de tracci\u00f3n y flexi\u00f3n y la caracterizaci\u00f3n a fractura mediante ensayos con geometr\u00eda charpy.  como conclusiones generales se observa que a trav\u00e9s de espumaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica se obtienen estructuras celulares m\u00e1s finas con tama\u00f1o de celda menores a 50 \u00c2\u00b5m pero con mayor anisotrop\u00eda a lo largo de la pieza en comparaci\u00f3n con las obtenidas por espumaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica. Las estructuras obtenidas por espumaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica presentan mayor homogeneidad, con celdas en torno a los 50 \u00c2\u00b5m y densidades celulares similares a las obtenidas por espumaci\u00f3n
