Como corresponde a las necesidades de la edici\u00f3n, consta de un estudio literario, estudio textual, an\u00e1lisis m\u00e9trico, bibliograf\u00eda y aparato de variantes, adem\u00e1s del texto fijado y anotado. El t\u00edtulo la semilla y la ciza\u00f1a se articula en torno a un argumento concebido a partir de las referencias b\u00edblicas a las par\u00e1bolas del sembrador y de la ciza\u00f1a. Calder\u00f3n reproduce el modo en que la ciza\u00f1a, acompa\u00f1ada por sus secuaces mal\u00e9ficos (niebla, cierzo, ira) se enfrentan en batalla contra el sembrador, representaci\u00f3n cristol\u00f3gica del mes\u00edas venido a la tierra para sembrar su semilla y as\u00ed diseminar la palabra de dios.  \ten la introducci\u00f3n se han estudiado de un modo detallado las principales fuentes a las que recurre el autor, el juego intertextual que se establece con la biblia, as\u00ed como cuestiones de iconolog\u00eda, representaci\u00f3n, m\u00e9trica y precedentes literarios. Tambi\u00e9n, se dedica una secci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica a la investigaci\u00f3n de los diferentes testimonios conservados del texto en cuesti\u00f3n, y la relaci\u00f3n entre ellos para aclarar los aspectos de su transmisi\u00f3n textual. Todas las variantes extra\u00eddas del cotejo se agrupan en un apartado tras el texto editado, y el conjunto del estudio se completa con la compilaci\u00f3n de la bibliograf\u00eda citada en el
