Alde batetik, gheeko herrialdeetako goi mailako hezkuntzaren atzerriko eskaria ikertu dugu. Bestalde, espainiako unibertsitate-eskaintzaren nazioarteko orientazioa eta unibertsitate ezberdinen posizio lehiakorra deskribatzen saiatu gara. Horrez gain, unibertsitateek kontrola ditzaketen aldagaiek eta unibertsitateen ezaugarri kontrolaezinek haien nazioarteko eskarian duten eragina ikertu dugu.
