La reducci\u00f3n con hidruro de cianuro y sodio (nabh3cn-zncl2) en presencia de cloruro de zinc proporciona el isomer anti como product mayoritario, mientras que la hidrogenaci\u00f3n catal\u00edtica permite la obtenci\u00f3n de los \u00c2\u00bf-aminofosfonatos en la configuraci\u00f3n syn.Adem\u00e1s, la preparaci\u00f3n de las iminas fluoradas \u00c2\u00bf,\u00c2\u00bf-insaturadas desde los enaminofosfonatos mediante la recci\u00f3n de horner-wadsworth-emmons tambi\u00e9n ha sido estudiada. El comportamiento de estos derivados ha sido estudiado frente ha una gran cantidad de agentes nucle\u00f3filos, lo que permite la s\u00edntesis de una gran cantidad de derivados fluorados tanto c\u00edclicos como ac\u00edclicos.Respecto a la adici\u00f3n de los agentes nucle\u00f3filos, parece extrapolarse una relaci\u00f3n entre el tama\u00f1o del nucle\u00f3filo y la adici\u00f3n regioselectiva sobre la imina \u00c2\u00bf,\u00c2\u00bf-insaturada.
