Los convertidores multinivel permiten reducir la tensi\u00f3n de bloqueo de cada uno de los semiconductores, adem\u00e1s de sintetizar formas de onda con un mejor espectro de arm\u00f3nicos, y en la mayor\u00eda de los casos, aumentando la eficiencia del sistema de conversi\u00f3n de energ\u00eda. Sin embargo, requieren de una mayor cantidad de semiconductores y las estrategias de control y modulaci\u00f3n son m\u00e1s complejas. Existen tres topolog\u00edas b\u00e1sicas de convertidores multinivel: enclavamiento por diodos, condensadores flotantes y puentes completos conectados en cascada con fuentes independientes de cc. Numerosas configuraciones h\u00edbridas combinando las tres topolog\u00edas b\u00e1sicas y otras topolog\u00edas multinivel tambi\u00e9n han sido publicadas en la bibliograf\u00eda.  una nueva topolog\u00eda multinivel de enclavamiento activo (mac) es el objeto de estudio de esta tesis. La topolog\u00eda se deriva de la topolog\u00eda multinivel generalizada extrayendo los condensadores flotantes. La topolog\u00eda tambi\u00e9n se puede ver como una extensi\u00f3n a un n\u00famero arbitrario de niveles de la topolog\u00eda de tres niveles de enclavamiento activo (anpc). El nuevo convertidor se controla utilizando un conjunto apropiado de estados de conmutaci\u00f3n junto con una adecuada estrategia de transici\u00f3n entre los estados de conmutaci\u00f3n, que permiten obtener el m\u00e1ximo beneficio del convertidor.  el estudio realizado en la tesis se concentra principalmente en analizar la eficiencia y la capacidad de tolerancia a fallos de la nueva topolog\u00eda de convertidor mac.  el an\u00e1lisis de la eficiencia consta en primer lugar de un estudio de las p\u00e9rdidas de conducci\u00f3n y las p\u00e9rdidas de conmutaci\u00f3n de los dispositivos de potencia dentro de la topolog\u00eda, seguido de comparaciones anal\u00edticas y experimentales de eficiencia entre el convertidor mac y los convertidores convencionales de dos niveles. en el an\u00e1lisis de la capacidad de tolerancia a fallos se consideren fallos tanto en circuito abierto como en corto circuito, y el an\u00e1lisis se lleva a cabo estudiando fallos de un solo dispositivo y fallos simult\u00e1neos de dos dispositivos. Diferentes estrategias de conmutaci\u00f3n y variaciones en la topolog\u00eda se proponen en la tesis para superar las limitaciones causadas por los fallos y para incrementar la capacidad de tolerancia a fallos del convertidor mac.  la tesis tambi\u00e9n propone pautas para garantizar un correcto dise\u00f1o del convertidor mac y mejorar su rendimiento.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
