Los mglurs del grupo i (mglur1 y mglur5) act\u00faan sobre la fosfolipasa c, activando la producci\u00f3n de inositol trifosfato y diacilglicerol como segundos mensajeros, y se expresan en muchas regiones cerebrales, siendo el hipocampo el objeto de estudio de esta tesis doctoral. En concreto, se ha centrado en la sinapsis de la fibra musgosa-ca3 donde era conocida la localizaci\u00f3n de mglur1 y mglur5 a nivel postsin\u00e1ptico. Sin embargo, no se hab\u00eda investigado si ambos receptores se co-expresan en una misma sinapsis de la fibra musgosa-ca3, siendo por tanto \u00e9ste el principal objetivo de esta tesis. Para ello, se ha utilizado la t\u00e9cnica de alta resoluci\u00f3n de inmuno-oro postinclusi\u00f3n para microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica.En resumen, se ha descrito una co-localizaci\u00f3n relativamente alta de ambos receptores (41,3% para mglur1a-mglur5 y 37,2% para mglur1b-mglur5) en las espinas de las neuronas piramidales de ca3 sobre las que sinaptan las fibras musgosas. Estos receptores presentan una localizaci\u00f3n preferentemente perisin\u00e1ptica, no observ\u00e1ndose diferencias topogr\u00e1ficas entre ellos. As\u00ed. El 34% y 33% de las inmunpart\u00edculas que indentifican mglur1a y mglur5 respectivamente se localizan en los primeros 60nm con respecto a la densidad postsin\u00e1ptica, siendo estos valores del 32% y 33% para mglur1b y mglur5 respectivamente. Estos resultados anat\u00f3micos contribuyen a profundizar en el entendimiento del complejo papel que desempe\u00f1an los mglurs en estas sinapsis concretas del hipocampo, ya que tambi\u00e9n participan en m\u00faltiples formas de plasticidad sin\u00e1ptica, relacion\u00e1ndose as\u00ed con procesos como el aprendizaje y la memoria.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
