El estudio ha sido fundamentalmente te\u00f3rico, utilizando diferentes m\u00e9todos para simular la interacci\u00f3n de luz con varios tipos de sistemas nanoestructurados, y en concreto, la dispersi\u00f3n m\u00faltiple de radiaci\u00f3n y el m\u00e9todo de elementos de frontera.Entre los resultados m\u00e1s relevantes de este trabajo figura la caracterizaci\u00f3n de la evoluci\u00f3n de los plasmones y la respuesta \u00f3ptica de sistemas formados por dos part\u00edculas met\u00e1licas en la transici\u00f3n entre part\u00edculas separadas y part\u00edculas que se tocan en una regi\u00f3n peque\u00f1a. Dicha transici\u00f3n tiene un car\u00e1cter singular que se traduce en una evoluci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida de los modos \u00f3pticos del sistema con peque\u00f1as variaciones geom\u00e9tricas en el mismo. Se ha estudiado asimismo la propagaci\u00f3n de excitaciones \u00f3pticas confinadas en cadenas de nanoagujeros, como sistemas singulares en los que se evitan las p\u00e9rdidas radiativas durante la propagaci\u00f3n.
