En este trabajo hemos investigado el uso de estos nanotubos peptidicos como una nueva clase de agentes antimicrobianos. La simplicidad de la subunidad fundamental permite la modificaci\u00f3n y selecci\u00f3n de p\u00e9ptidos con buena actividad antimicrobiana y baja toxicidad frente a c\u00e9lulas mamiferas. se han dise\u00f1ado y sintetizado diferentes octap\u00e9ptidos y hexap\u00e9ptidos c\u00edclicos con estructuras anfip\u00e1ticas para su estudio como p\u00e9ptidos antimicrobianos. los p\u00e9ptidos ensayados mostraron buenas actividades antimicrobianas in vitro, con concentraciones inhibitorias m\u00ednimas (mic) que son rapidamente letales para las bacterias, limitando la adquisici\u00f3n de resistencias. In vivo, estos p\u00e9ptidos mostraron alta eficacia frente a infecciones letales de staphylococcus aureus resistente a meticilina(sarm) en ratones, con dosis de protecci\u00f3n medias de 8-15
