La parte hidr\u00f3fila de estos emusificantespermanece en la superficie de las part\u00edculas formando lo que se denomina \u00c2\u00bfcapa peluda\u00c2\u00bf. Enobjetivo de esta tesis consisti\u00f3 en estudiar el efecto del tipo y de la longitud de la \u00c2\u00bfcapa peluda\u00c2\u00bfen la formaci\u00f3n de film y en sus propiedades finales. Ello requiri\u00f3 el dise\u00f1o \u00c2\u00bfcapas peludas\u00c2\u00bf delongitudes controladas, para lo cual el primer paso fue la s\u00edntesis de emulsificanteselectrostericos de longitudes controladas mediante la polimerizaci\u00f3n radicalaria viva. Entre losdiferentes tipos de polimerizaci\u00f3n radicalaria viva se utiliz\u00f3 la polimerizaci\u00f3n por transferenciade cadena mediante adici\u00f3n-fragmentaci\u00f3n reversible (raft), debido a su alta compatibilidadcon un amplio rango de mon\u00f3meros y disolventes.Una vez sintetizadas las part\u00edculas con \u00c2\u00bfcapas peludas\u00c2\u00bf de longitudes controladas, se utilizarondiferentes t\u00e9cnicas para el estudio de la formaci\u00f3n de film, as\u00ed como, afm, fret y esem.Tambi\u00e9n se midieron las propiedades de los films finales, as\u00ed como, la resistencia al agua y laelongaci\u00f3n por tracci\u00f3n.Se vio que el agente neutralizador utilizado afectaba severamente a la migraci\u00f3n delemulsificante durante la formaci\u00f3n de film y a las propiedades finales. La longitud de la \u00c2\u00bfcapapeluda\u00c2\u00bf no ten\u00eda ning\u00fan efecto en la coalescencia entre las part\u00edculas pero s\u00ed en la interdiffusionde cadenas polim\u00e9ricas entre part\u00edculas vecinas.
