Para el desarrollo de los materiales de envasado, una tendencia muy en alza es la incorporaci\u00f3n de extractos naturales en biopol\u00edmeros extra\u00eddos de la biomasa. Estos biopol\u00edmeros poseen propiedades f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmicas y funcionales interesantes, sin embargo, presentan algunos inconvenientes que dificultan su utilizaci\u00f3n, siendo uno de los principales su sensibilidad al agua. Una estrategia de mejora de las propiedades de las pel\u00edculas consiste en el entrecruzamiento entre las cadenas biopolim\u00e9ricas, lo cual se consigue mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n de tratamientos f\u00edsicos como la luz uv. Como alternativa a este \u00faltimo tratamiento, se propone la tecnolog\u00eda de luz pulsada (pl), basada en la emisi\u00f3n de pulsos de luz de corta duraci\u00f3n y gran intensidad y que actualmente se utiliza principalmente para la descontaminaci\u00f3n de alimentos y superficies.En este trabajo se han desarrollado pel\u00edculas activas de base biopolim\u00e9rica incorpor\u00e1ndoles antimicrobianos naturales y modificando sus propiedades con uv y pl (con\/sin fotoinciadores). Para su estudio se realiz\u00f3 la caracterizaci\u00f3n f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmica de las pel\u00edculas desarrolladas, analizando entre otras sus propiedades t\u00e9rmicas, mec\u00e1nicas, \u00f3pticas, actividad antimicrobiana, liberaci\u00f3n del compuesto activo, etc. Los resultados muestran una disminuci\u00f3n de la sensibilidad al agua tras los tratamientos con pl, lo que demuestra la potencialidad de esta tecnolog\u00eda para la modificaci\u00f3n y mejora de las propiedades f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmicas de las pel\u00edculas
