Primeramente se han caracterizado qu\u00edmicamente varios residuos agr\u00edcolas con el objetivo de conocer sus composiciones y as\u00ed poder seleccionar las materias primas m\u00e1s adecuadas. Una vez seleccionados algunos residuos, se ha estudiado la extracci\u00f3n de las hemicelulosas por diversos m\u00e9todos y t\u00e9cnicas, empleando diferentes catalizadores y variando distintos par\u00e1metros para as\u00ed poder determinar las condiciones m\u00e1s \u00f3ptimas y conseguir aumentar los rendimientos de hemicelulosas solubilizadas.Por otra parte, se ha estudiado la obtenci\u00f3n de \u00e1cido l\u00e1ctico y furfural a partir de los zuros de ma\u00edz. En ambos casos se han escogido los catalizadores m\u00e1s apropiados y se han determinado las condiciones de reacci\u00f3n m\u00e1s \u00f3ptimas para alcanzar los m\u00e1ximos rendimientos de
