Al respecto, y debido a que la pr\u00e1ctica del f\u00fatbol tan s\u00f3lo permite la reposici\u00f3n h\u00eddrica en determinados momentos, un cierto nivel de deshidrataci\u00f3n puede conllevar serios problemas tanto al rendimiento del deportista como a la salud de este. Si a todo esto le sumamos edades pre y puberales, esta situaci\u00f3n adquiere un especial inter\u00e9s. objetivos el prop\u00f3sito de este estudio ha sido determinar la reposici\u00f3n h\u00eddrica y los niveles de deshidrataci\u00f3n alcanzados en j\u00f3venes futbolistas en competici\u00f3n en funci\u00f3n de la posici\u00f3n ocupada en el terreno de juego. metodolog\u00eda es un estudio transversal donde el dise\u00f1o de la investigaci\u00f3n es cuantitativo no experimental de tipo descriptivo, comparativo y correlacional; realizado en 54 jugadores de f\u00fatbol de categor\u00eda infantil, cadete y juvenil en partidos oficiales de la selecci\u00f3n de una comunidad aut\u00f3noma del territorio espa\u00f1ol durante el a\u00f1o 2008, seleccionados mediante muestreo de conveniencia, en el que se han analizado variables relacionadas con el estado de hidrataci\u00f3n (l\u00edquido ingerido, l\u00edquido perdido, sudoraci\u00f3n, peso perdido, etc.). Las variables de estudio han sido tratadas mediante estad\u00edstica descriptiva, inferencial (param\u00e9trica y no param\u00e9trica) para llevar a cabo la comparaci\u00f3n y, para hallar el tama\u00f1o del efecto, se ha recurrido a la d de cohen y a la regresi\u00f3n log\u00edstica. Para comprobar la normalidad de las distribuciones se ha comprobado mediante los estad\u00edsticos de kolmogorov-smirnov y shapiro-wilk, estableciendo un valor de p?0.05 para la significaci\u00f3n estad\u00edstica. resultados atendiendo al total de los participantes sin tener en cuenta la posici\u00f3n ocupada, estos presentan un 1 % de peso perdido. Por otra parte, la diferencia de medias entre el l\u00edquido perdido (1104\u00c2\u00b1554.96 ml) y el ingerido (519\u00c2\u00b1335.93 ml) nos indican una p\u00e9rdida de 585 ml. en cuanto a la posici\u00f3n ocupada es la posici\u00f3n de defensa la que presenta valores m\u00e1s elevados de diferencia de medias respecto al l\u00edquido ingerido (549\u00c2\u00b1348.60 ml) y perdido (1311\u00c2\u00b1612.45 ml) alcanzando una media de 762 ml de p\u00e9rdida de fluidos y la que mayores niveles de deshidrataci\u00f3n alcanza (1.2\u00c2\u00b10.50 %). respecto a los resultados de la regresi\u00f3n log\u00edstica, indicar que no hemos hallado relaci\u00f3n alguna (p&gt;0,05) entre las variables de estudio (l\u00edquido ingerido, l\u00edquido perdido (sudor), porcentaje de l\u00edquido repuesto, peso perdido y porcentaje de peso perdido) y el puesto ocupado por los jugadores en el terreno de juego. conclusiones a la luz de los resultados expuestos, podemos concluir que los jugadores, en todas las categor\u00edas y posiciones analizadas, no reponen las p\u00e9rdidas de l\u00edquidos sufridas durante los partidos en competici\u00f3n provocando un estado de deshidrataci\u00f3n progresiva.  Tambi\u00e9n destacar que hallamos correlaci\u00f3n entre las variables &quot;tiempo total de juego&quot; y &quot;porcentaje de peso perdido&quot; en todas las categor\u00edas y en las posiciones de defensa y delantero. Por ello, nuestros resultados invitan a dise\u00f1ar programas de intervenci\u00f3n sobre h\u00e1bitos correctos de hidrataci\u00f3n durante la pr\u00e1ctica del f\u00fatbol en estas edades atendiendo a la posici\u00f3n ocupada y al tiempo total de juego.  introduction  water is the protagonist of many vital functions in the body. In this regard, and because football practice only allows water application at certain times, a certain level of dehydration can lead to serious problems for both the athlete&apos;s performance and health of this. If to all this we add pre-and pubertal ages, this situation is particularly interesting. objectives  the purpose of this study was to determine the water application and levels of dehydration achieved in young players competing on the basis of the employed in the field position. methodology it is a non- experimental cross-sectional study where the research design is quantitative descriptive, comparative, correlational; performed in 54 soccer players in junior class, cadet and youth in official matches for the selection of an autonomous community of spanish territory in 2008 selected by convenience sampling, which used related to the state of hydration variables (fluid intake, lost fluid, sweating, weight loss\u00c2\u00bf). The study variables were treated using descriptive, inferential (parametric and nonparametric) to perform statistical comparison and to find the effect size, it has used cohen&apos;s d and logistic regression. To test the normality of the distributions was tested using the kolmogorov-smirnov statistics and shapiro-wilk, setting a value of p?0.05 for statistical significance. results considering the total participants regardless of the position occupied, these show a 1 % weight loss. Moreover, the mean difference between the lost fluid (1104 \u00c2\u00b1 554.96 ml) and ingested (519 \u00c2\u00b1 335.93 ml) indicate a loss of 585 ml. as for the occupied position is the position of defense that has higher values of mean difference relative to fluid intake (549 \u00c2\u00b1 348.60 ml) and lost (1311 \u00c2\u00b1 612.45 ml) to an average of 762 ml of fluid loss and dehydration which reaches higher levels (1.2 \u00c2\u00b1 0.50 %) . regarding the results of the logistic regression indicate that we have not found any relationship (p&gt;0.05) between the study variables (fluid intake, fluid lost (sweat), percentage of fluid replacement, lost weight and percentage of weight lost) and the position occupied by the players on the pitch. conclusions  in light of the above findings, we conclude that the players, in all categories and analyzed positions, do not replace fluid losses sustained during competition matches causing a progressive state of dehydration. Also note that we found correlation between the variables &quot;total played time&quot; and &quot;percentage of weight lost&quot; in all categories and in the defense and forward positions.
