Las posibles causas de este descenso han sido atribuidas a los incrementos de la temperatura del agua, transparencia de las aguas, oleaje y actividades humanas registrados en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, as\u00ed como, a un d\u00e9ficit de nutrientes. El objetivo de esta tesis es estudiar el comportamiento de una serie de variables bioqu\u00edmicas, morfol\u00f3gicas y fisiol\u00f3gicas en g. Corneum en relaci\u00f3n a la radiaci\u00f3n solar (par y uva) y la temperatura. Para ello se llevaron a cabo tres experimentos mensurativos y manipulativos en las poblaciones de g. Corneum de la costa vasca durante los veranos de 2010, 2011 y 2012. Los resultados obtenidos indican que los diferentes comportamientos exhibidos por g. Corneum a lo largo de la costa vasca son debidos a las distintas condiciones ambientales propias de cada sitio, siendo la disponibilidad de luz un factor a tener en cuenta en el rendimiento de g. Corneum y que podr\u00eda estar implicado en los cambios producidos en las comunidades de esta rodof\u00edcea en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas. En este sentido, el fen\u00f3meno del amarilleamiento del fronde se perfila como un buen indicador de estr\u00e9s lum\u00ednico en este macr\u00f3fito, siendo el reflejo externo de otras alteraciones
