Tesis doctoral de David Lagar Timon <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Esta tesis doctoral es el resultado de una trayectoria profesional e investigadora en torno a una tem\u00e1tica que cada d\u00eda adquiere mayor relevancia, como es la exploraci\u00f3n del espacio territorial y sus procesos transformadores, que se superponen con las pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas como instrumentos operativos y posibilitan la planificaci\u00f3n territorial a partir de procesos metodol\u00f3gicos diferenciados, los cuales tienden a la resoluci\u00f3n de problemas espec\u00edficos. El tema del an\u00e1lisis del espacio territorial puede ser abordado desde diversas disciplinas, pero el tratamiento de los cap\u00edtulos metodol\u00f3gicos que aqu\u00ed se presentan pretenden establecer par\u00e1metros preliminares para avanzar en el estado del conocimiento que circunscribe el an\u00e1lisis espacio-temporal en el \u00e1mbito provincial. Los grandes avances en cuanto a las tecnolog\u00edas aplicadas al territorio, y en concreto de los sistemas de informaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica (sig), as\u00ed como la disposici\u00f3n de datos, cada vez m\u00e1s abundantes y precisos, han cambiado la concepci\u00f3n en los procesos de toma de decisiones y como soporte para la planificaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica territorial. Tambi\u00e9n para una mejor gesti\u00f3n y tratamiento de la informaci\u00f3n, aplicada a trabajos de planificaci\u00f3n urban\u00edstica, ambiental o tur\u00edstica en diferentes niveles de la administraci\u00f3n p\u00fablica, tanto local, regional como nacional. Con esta tesis se pretende aumentar el conocimiento y la aplicabilidad de algunas de las t\u00e9cnicas de an\u00e1lisis espacial m\u00e1s utilizadas en la actualidad. Todo ello a trav\u00e9s de la definici\u00f3n de metodolog\u00edas aplicadas a casos muy concretos de an\u00e1lisis del territorio que apoyan la toma de decisiones en la provincia de c\u00e1ceres. La realizaci\u00f3n de an\u00e1lisis espaciales orientados a la caracterizaci\u00f3n y visualizaci\u00f3n de patrones y din\u00e1micas socioecon\u00f3micas y ambientales, que son las que alimentan los diagn\u00f3sticos de las planificaciones territoriales, necesitan recurrir a m\u00e9todos y t\u00e9cnicas de informaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica cada vez m\u00e1s avanzadas, pero que en muchas ocasiones est\u00e1n fuera del alcance de los profesionales que inician estos procesos de planificaci\u00f3n. a lo largo de esta tesis doctoral se ponen de manifiesto algunas de estas t\u00e9cnicas de an\u00e1lisis espaciales a partir de casos reales y aplicados a casos muy concretos, que en algunos casos han servido para tomar decisiones dentro de procesos planificados reales. As\u00ed, en el primer apartado se expuso la metodolog\u00eda de emc y sig para seleccionar, de una forma \u00e1gil e integral, emplazamientos \u00f3ptimos para un tipo de instalaci\u00f3n industrial de bajo impacto ambiental. En el segundo se propuso una metodolog\u00eda de an\u00e1lisis espacial basada en una clasificaci\u00f3n no supervisada de una serie de variables f\u00edsico-ambientales, que ha permitido efectuar de forma autom\u00e1tica el cotejo de los distintos mapas tem\u00e1ticos a partir de un an\u00e1lisis de diferencias y coincidencias. En el tercer apartado se mostr\u00f3 un procedimiento metodol\u00f3gico de gran inter\u00e9s para estudiar c\u00f3mo influyen las relaciones de contig\u00ed\u00bcidad para municipios con caracter\u00edsticas demogr\u00e1ficas comunes, y su comportamiento temporal. En el cuarto apartado se testearos algunos de los m\u00e9todos m\u00e1s habituales para analizar y representar la densidad de la poblaci\u00f3n. En el quinto apartado se realiz\u00f3 la construcci\u00f3n de regiones o agrupamientos de territorio desde una perspectiva del uso de variables de actividad econ\u00f3micas. En el sexto apartado se pretendi\u00f3 valorar la influencia de la accesibilidad en la ruralidad, y los resultados arrojados muestran como existe un v\u00ednculo entre ambos factores, aunque s\u00ed es cierto que la influencia de la accesibilidad en la ruralidad no es tan marcada como se esperaba en la hip\u00f3tesis de partida. Lo interesante de las metodolog\u00edas es que son aplicables a otros territorios. La provincia de c\u00e1ceres en este caso ha actuado como banco de pruebas real para su aplicaci\u00f3n. No cabe duda que hace falta m\u00e1s investigaci\u00f3n sobre la aplicaci\u00f3n de estas metodolog\u00edas aplicadas a la planificaci\u00f3n territorial para poder evaluar la capacidad y el potencialidad a\u00fan no completamente explotado, tanto en el \u00e1mbito de captura y organizaci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n, como en el an\u00e1lisis espacial y presentaci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n en cartograf\u00eda elaborada como apoyo a la toma de decisiones. this thesis is the result of both a professional and research career around a topic that is becoming more relevant. This subject is the exploration of geographical areas and their changing processes which overlap with public policies working as operative instruments that enable the territorial planning from methodological processes that tend to the resolution of specific problems. The topic of analysis of geographical areas can be dealt with from different areas of knowledge. However, the presentation of the methodological chapters tries to show an almost global perspective that establishes the preliminary parameters in order to go into the knowledge of spatio-temporal analysis in the provincial environment. the important progress in terms of technologies applied to territory studies, and particularly geographical information systems (gis), as well as the availability of data which are increasingly becoming more abundant and accurate, have changed the conception of decision – making processes and as a ground for strategic territorial plan. It has also improved information management and processing applied to projects of urban, environmental and touristic planning at different levels of public administration, either local or regional or national. this thesis tries to increase the knowledge and applicability of some of the most commonly used techniques of current spatial analysis. This is possible through the definition of applied methodologies to specific cases of territorial planning that support the decision – making process in the province of c\u00e1ceres. The execution of spatial analysis designed to characterise and visualise socioeconomic and environmental patterns and dynamics, which are the basis for the diagnosis of the territorial planning, needs to turn to more sophisticated methods and geographical information techniques, although these techniques are sometimes unachievable for the professionals that start these planning processes. throughout this thesis some of these techniques are exposed, given real cases applied to very specific environments, which on some occasions, took part in the decision – making process within actual planned processes. Thus, in the first chapter, the emc and gis methodologies were presented to select, in a dynamic and integral way, ideal positions for a type of industrial system with a low environmental impact. In the second chapter, a methodology of spatial analysis was suggested, based on a non-supervised classification of a series of physio – environmental characteristics, which have allowed us to carry out the collating of the different thematic maps from an analysis of the differences and coincidences. In the third chapter, a methodological process was shown, crucial to study how the proximity relationships influence municipalities with common demographic characteristics and their temporal behaviour. In the fourth chapter, some of the most common methods used to analyse and represent the population density were tested. In the fifth chapter, the construction of regions and territorial groupings from the perspective of the use of parameters of economic activities was carried out. In the sixth chapter, the influence of accessibility to the rural area was valued and the results show how there is a link between both factors, although it is true that the influence of accessibility in the rural area is not so relevant as it was expected from the first hypothesis. the important thing about the methodologies is the level of applicability to other areas. The province of c\u00e1ceres has acted like a real testbed for this application. It goes without saying that more research on the application of these applied methodologies is needed in order to assess the capacity and potential not yet fully exploited, both in the field of capturing and organization of information, as in spatial analysis and presentation of information in cartography developed as an aid in the decision – making process.<\/p>\n
