El desarrollo de aplicaciones sobre este tipo de equipos es una tarea compleja, puesto que requiere de conocimientos no s\u00f3lo en el campo de la computaci\u00f3n, sino tambi\u00e9n en teor\u00eda de control y comunicaciones. El r\u00e1pido crecimiento de este tipo de dispositivos hace necesario el desarrollo de herramientas que faciliten las operaciones realizadas durante el ciclo de vida de los cps, reduciendo  complejidad de las tareas de dise\u00f1o, desarrollo, implantaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento de los cps.Esta tesis doctoral describe el dise\u00f1o de ftt-ma, una arquitectura de middleware que simplifica el desarrollo de cps ofreciendo: (1) garant\u00edas temporales en la ejecuci\u00f3n de las tareas que forman las aplicaciones mediante sincronizaci\u00f3n temporal, (2) mecanismos para la distribuci\u00f3n de datos entre los nodos del sistema con caracter\u00edsticas de tiempo real, (3) optimizaci\u00f3n del uso de los recursos de los dispositivos y (4) reconfiguraci\u00f3n de las aplicaciones en tiempo de ejecuci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s de proponer una arquitectura middleware que integre las anteriores caracter\u00edsticas, esta tesis propone una metodolog\u00eda que facilita el dise\u00f1o y desarrollo de aplicaciones cps distribuidas as\u00ed como una herramienta de soporte, ftt-modeler, para todo el ciclo de vida de las aplicaciones. Finalmente, esta tesis describe los detalles de la implementaci\u00f3n de ftt-corba, una implementaci\u00f3n de ftt-ma sobre tecnolog\u00eda corba empleada para validar el dise\u00f1o
