El primero, empleando las variables instrumentadas delproceso, permite evaluar las propiedades termodin\u00e1micas en los diferentes puntos enlos que se pueden subdividir los cuerpos de turbina (coincidentes con los puntos deextracci\u00f3n), con los que obtener finalmente el rendimiento y la potencia de cadasecci\u00f3n considerada, pudiendo ser comparados los valores obtenidos con los esperadosde acuerdo a las especificaciones del fabricante. El segundo, a partir de unascondiciones dadas de operaci\u00f3n, permite simular el funcionamiento de la m\u00e1quina yestimar dichas propiedades termodin\u00e1micas, de modo que puedan ser posteriormentecomparadas con las variables instrumentadas. En ambos casos, los resultados permitendetectar anomal\u00edas o mal-funcionamientos.
