Por ello, es necesario comprobar la capacidad de las nps paraatravesar las barreras fisiol\u00f3gicas y estudiar su toxicidad sobre el ser humano.En esta tesis doctoral se han estudiado diferentes modelos celulares in vitro de bhe y bp y suaplicabilidad en estudios funcionales y toxicol\u00f3gicos en farmacolog\u00eda y nanomedicina.Evaluando la seguridad y permeabilidad de diferentes nanopart\u00edculas aprovechando lacapacidad de los modelos in vitro desarrollados para observar las alteraciones producidas en laintegridad de sus barreras en presencia de un agente externo.
