La metodolog\u00eda implica el desarrollo de diferentes modelos matem\u00e1ticos para la generaci\u00f3n de calor, su transmisi\u00f3n y su disipaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como su acoplamiento e integraci\u00f3n en la metodolog\u00eda de dise\u00f1o del pack de bater\u00edas con el fin de mejorar su seguridad y rendimiento. A lo largo de la tesis se describen los pasos a seguir seg\u00fan la metodolog\u00eda propuesta. se identifican y resuelven cuestiones t\u00e9rmicas asociadas con las bater\u00edas. Para ello, se lleva a cabo en primer lugar una caracterizaci\u00f3n detallada de tres tipos de celdas de i\u00f3n-litio, que permite obtener un mayor conocimiento sobre su comportamiento t\u00e9rmico. Los test de caracterizaci\u00f3n incluyen ensayos el\u00e9ctricos y calorim\u00e9tricos con las bater\u00edas que proporcionan la informaci\u00f3n necesaria para desarrollar el modelo de generaci\u00f3n de calor. a continuaci\u00f3n, mediante el m\u00e9todo de los vol\u00famenes finitos, se desarrollan modelos de bater\u00edas que integran el modelo de generaci\u00f3n de calor, sirviendo as\u00ed de base para el dise\u00f1o del sistema de gesti\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica. Se analizan varias simplificaciones de los modelos que permiten disminuir el tiempo de simulaci\u00f3n y realizar simulaciones en un amplio rango de condiciones de operaci\u00f3n con un tiempo computacional razonable. Los resultados de las simulaciones se utilizan para obtener informaci\u00f3n, para evaluar dise\u00f1os y para proporcionar soluciones a cuestiones t\u00e9rmicas asociadas con las bater\u00edas como un control adecuado de la temperatura de las celdas que constituyen el pack de bater\u00edas. se demuestra la validez de los diferentes supuestos considerados para el desarrollo de los modelos
