Adem\u00e1s, pretende establecer las relaciones existentes entre las estrategias comunicativas utilizadas y los agentes que favorecen  la innovaci\u00f3n educativa en los centros y la incorporaci\u00f3n efectiva de  proyectos o programas de innovaci\u00f3n a la pr\u00e1ctica organizativa y curricular en los centros educativos analizados con el objetivo de establecer el papel que juega la comunicaci\u00f3n  en la difusi\u00f3n de los procesos de innovaci\u00f3n docente en los que participan las organizaciones educativas. con el fin de alcanzar nuestro prop\u00f3sito, este estudio combina la investigaci\u00f3n exploratoria y descriptiva, para la definici\u00f3n del objeto de estudio y, de los elementos te\u00f3ricos que circunscriben el objeto de estudio y los elementos emp\u00edricos, y la investigaci\u00f3n predictiva y explicativa con la que tratamos de predecir o explicar la realidad a trav\u00e9s del contraste de las hip\u00f3tesis planteadas. Para recabar la informaci\u00f3n se utiliz\u00f3 como instrumento un cuestionario con preguntas cerradas en el que han participado 51 centros que imparten educaci\u00f3n secundaria y formaci\u00f3n profesional que estaban adscritos a programas de innovaci\u00f3n educativa ofertados por la consejer\u00eda de educaci\u00f3n, formaci\u00f3n y empleo durante el curso acad\u00e9mico 2012-2013. Posteriormente, los datos obtenidos fueron analizados mediante t\u00e9cnicas estad\u00edsticas univariantes y multivariantes. los resultados de este estudio revelan que la comunicaci\u00f3n act\u00faa como factor determinante en la implantaci\u00f3n y desarrollo de los procesos de innovaci\u00f3n docente en los centros de educaci\u00f3n secundaria tanto en sentido positivo, como factor de desarrollo, como negativo: el d\u00e9ficit comunicacional opera como freno para la implantaci\u00f3n de la innovaci\u00f3n. Destaca como resultado que la innovaci\u00f3n docente se ve influenciada positivamente cuando las motivaciones para innovar y la formaci\u00f3n recibida se ajustan a las necesidades del centro, derivadas de su proyecto educativo y su cultura. la investigaci\u00f3n sustenta, entre otras implicaciones, la importancia de las pol\u00edticas de comunicaci\u00f3n y su gesti\u00f3n en los centros para conseguir la consolidaci\u00f3n de la innovaci\u00f3n docente, as\u00ed como la necesidad de formar para innovar al profesorado. Este estudio tambi\u00e9n pone de manifiesto la adaptaci\u00f3n de los centros a los nuevos contextos generados por la sociedad de la informaci\u00f3n y la inclusi\u00f3n de las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas en su proyecto educativo.  la investigaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n ratifica la importancia de la direcci\u00f3n escolar como agente de la comunicaci\u00f3n y de la innovaci\u00f3n para que se puedan materializar en el centro los cambios que introducen la realizaci\u00f3n de nuevos proyectos educativos innovadores, as\u00ed como de su incorporaci\u00f3n efectiva en la pr\u00e1ctica organizativa y curricular en los centros educativos analizados.    abstract this research aims to find the determining factors of communication in processes of educational innovation in the secondary schools of the region of murcia. It also aims to establish the relationship between the communicative strategies used and agents promoting educational innovation in centers and effective implementation of innovative projects or programs to the organizational and curricular practice in analyzed schools in order to establish the role of communication in the diffusion process of educational innovation in educational organizations that participate. to achieve our purpose, this study combines the exploratory and descriptive research, for defining the object of study and the theoretical elements that circumscribe the object of study and empirical evidence, and predictive and explanatory research with which we try to predict or explain reality through the contrast of the hypotheses. A questionnaire with closed questions which involved 51 schools providing secondary education and vocational training that were assigned to innovative educational programs offered by the department of education, training and employment during the academic year 2012-2013 was used as an instrument to gather the information. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using univariate and multivariate statistical techniques. the results of this study reveal that communication acts as a determining factor in the implementation and development of the processes of teaching innovation in secondary schools both in a positive sense, as a development, as in a negative sense: the communicational deficit operates as a brake to the implementation of innovation. As a result, teaching innovation is influenced positively when motivations to innovate and the training is tailored to the needs of the center, derived from its educational project and its culture. this research based, among other implications, the importance of communication policies and management in centers to get the consolidation of educational innovation and the need to train teachers to innovate. Also, this study highlights the adaptation of centers to new contexts generated by the information society and the inclusion of new technologies into their educational programs.  besides, this research confirms the importance of school leadership as communication and innovation agent so that the changes that new innovative educational projects introduced in the center can be materialized
