En los\u00faltimos a\u00f1os, y como consecuencia de la evoluci\u00f3n de la electr\u00f3nica y el \u00e9xito de losdispositivos personales con capacidades de comunicaciones (smartphones, tabletas,etc.), Han proliferado las iniciativas de recopilaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n sobre la interacci\u00f3nhumana basadas en el uso de estos dispositivos. Esta tesis consta de dos partes:la primera parte de la tesis analiza las limitaciones de las iniciativas precedentes derecopilaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n de proximidad utilizando dispositivos personales, ypresenta un sistema ad hoc basado en tecnolog\u00eda bluetooth que implementa unconjunto de mecanismos para eliminarlas o, en su defecto, detectarlas y atenuarlas. Sedescribe el funcionamiento de ese sistema y su uso en un entorno real, obteni\u00e9ndosecomo resultado una base de datos de alta fiabilidad a disposici\u00f3n de la comunidadcient\u00edfica.La segunda parte de la tesis se centra en el desarrollo de una herramienta queproporciona informaci\u00f3n sobre la ubicaci\u00f3n de las personas tomando como partida laque se obtiene del sistema desarrollado en la primera parte: la informaci\u00f3n relativa a laproximidad entre personas y su movilidad. Esta herramienta toma la forma de unafamilia de algoritmos de localizaci\u00f3n que se valida mediante una bater\u00eda deexperimentos en diferentes escenarios con m\u00faltiples
