Ambos dos, son considerados como fundamentales para conformar el estilo de vida de las personas, m\u00e1xime cuando aparece en los mismos la actividad f\u00edsica como costumbre y h\u00e1bito que se desarrolla en el d\u00eda a d\u00eda, pudiendo influir de manera significativa en la condici\u00f3n f\u00edsica y salud de las personas en su presente y futuro.  cuatro estudios se han propuesto para la realizaci\u00f3n de la presente tesis doctoral:  relaci\u00f3n entre nivel de actividad f\u00edsica y autoconcepto f\u00edsico en un conjunto de adolescentes espa\u00f1oles.  influencia de la condici\u00f3n f\u00edsica en par\u00e1metros saludables de escolares de 3 a 16 a\u00f1os.  efectos de un programa de actividad f\u00edsica de vigorosa a intensa en la condici\u00f3n f\u00edsica de escolares de 3 a 16 a\u00f1os.  efectos de un programa de actividad f\u00edsica de vigorosa a intensa en par\u00e1metros saludables de escolares de 3 a 16 a\u00f1os.  m\u00e9todo se midieron variables de condici\u00f3n f\u00edsica (consumo m\u00e1ximo de ox\u00edgeno y fuerza en tren superior e inferior), autoconcepto y par\u00e1metros saludables (colesterol, triglic\u00e9ridos y glucosa en sangre) para 178 chicos y chicas entre 3 y 16 a\u00f1os. Adem\u00e1s para dos de los estudios se propuso un programa de actividad f\u00edsica de vigorosa a intensa con la intenci\u00f3n de ver c\u00f3mo pod\u00eda afectar a las variables.  resultados y discusi\u00f3n se obtuvo mejoras en los valores de condici\u00f3n f\u00edsica y fuerza, en algunos par\u00e1metros del autoconcepto y en algunos de la salud para distintas franjas de edad.  conclusiones generales un programa de actividad f\u00edsica de vigorosa a intensa mejora la condici\u00f3n f\u00edsica, el autoconcepto y la salud en ni\u00f1os y adolescentes entre 3 y 16 a\u00f1os.  abstract  general introduction refer to school age is mention two key periods for the development of human beings and their configuration in your adulthood, childhood and adolescence. Both two are regarded as crucial in shaping the lifestyle of people , especially when physical activity as custom and habit that develops in the day, can have a significant impact on fitness and health appear in the same people in their present and future.  four studies have been carried out for the realization of this thesis:  relationship between physical activity level and physical self in a set of spanish adolescents.  influence of fitness parameters in healthy schoolchildren 3-16 years.  effects of a program of vigorous physical activity intense in the physical condition of schoolchildren 3-16 years.  effects of a program of vigorous physical activity in healthy parameters intense schoolchildren 3-16 years.  method variables fitness (maximal oxygen consumption and strength in upper and lower body), self-concept and health parameters (cholesterol, triglycerides and blood glucose) for 178 boys and girls between 3 and 16 years were measured. In addition to two of the studies program of vigorous physical activity intense with the intention of seeing how it could affect the variables proposed.  results and discussion improvement was obtained in the values of fitness and strength, in some parameters of self-concept and some health for different age groups.  general conclusions a program of vigorous physical activity improves
