Tumoreetan estrategikoki kokatutako nanopartikula magnetikoek bero-iturri bezala jokatzen dute. Hauek, kanpotik aplikaturiko eremu magnetiko alternotik energia xurgatu eta bero bezala igortzen dute, tumoreen tenperatura igoaraziz. Hipertermia magnetikoarekin lotutako mekanismoak ulertzeko eta hau terapia eraginkorra bihurtzeko, nahitaezkoa da in vitro eta in vivo esperimentuak egitea. Alde batetik premia handikoa da nanopartikulen xurgapen-tasa espezifikoa ongi neurtzea. Beste aldetik, in vivo saiakerak beharrezkoak dira hipertermia magnetikoak benetako sistema biologiko batean eragiten dituen ondorioak ongi aztertzeko. Helburu hauek lortzeko, irrati-maiztasuneko eremu magnetiko alternoak sortzeko gai diren gailuak guztiz beharrezkoak dira.Tesi honetan lau aplikadore elektromagnetiko prototipo diseinatu eta eraiki dira. Bestalde, ac magnetometro bat diseinatu eta eraiki egin da. Gailu hau, nanopartikula laginen xurgapen tasa espezifikoa modu zehatz batean neurtzeko gai da. Diseinatu eta eraikitako prototipoekin exvivo eta invivo hipertermia saiakerak burutu dira laborategi arratoiekin.
