Por lotanto, se ha estudiado la posibilidad de tratar residuos peligrosos, comoson los polvos filtrados de los hornos de producci\u00f3n de acero,inertiz\u00e1ndolos y a su vez d\u00e1ndoles un segundo uso comercial. Para ello, seha dise\u00f1ado un proceso hidrometal\u00fargico para producir \u00f3xido de zinc dealta pureza y por otro lado se ha desarrollado la purificaci\u00f3n del \u00f3xidowaelz para ser empleado como materia prima en la industria defabricaci\u00f3n de zinc met\u00e1lico por electrolisis.
