Dise\u00f1o: consta de 2 fases: revisi\u00f3n panor\u00e1mica (scoping review) y estudio observacional de corte. Fuentes de datos: academic search premier, medline, psycinfo, psyclist, pubmed, cochrane library, epistemonikos, lilacs, enfispo, bvs, academic emergency medicine, the journal of emergency medicine, ime. M\u00e9todos de la revisi\u00f3n: se utilizaron diversas palabras clave para seleccionar estudios descriptivos observacionales sobre la detecci\u00f3n del mti. La cobertura temporal fue desde 2007 a 2013, en idioma ingl\u00e9s y espa\u00f1ol. M\u00e9todos del estudio: se analizaron las historias cl\u00ednicas correspondientes al per\u00edodo 2008-2011 cuya codificaci\u00f3n diagn\u00f3stica estuviera relacionada con un posible caso de mti. Resultados: se encontraron 503 art\u00edculos de los cuales se han seleccionado 77 art\u00edculos de texto completo del a\u00f1o 2007 en adelante y 22 referencias a art\u00edculos en la biblioteca virtual de la salud (bvs). La formaci\u00f3n del personal y el uso de cuestionarios de detecci\u00f3n han demostrado utilidad en el aumento de hallazgos de nuevos casos. En el estudio realizado tambi\u00e9n se detect\u00f3 una preValencia de mti similar a la del resto de estudios. El tipo de mti predominantemente encontrado en los servicios de urgencias hospitalarios es el maltrato f\u00edsico y el abuso sexual; el que m\u00e1s se produce pero  menos se  detecta es  la  negligencia y en  nuestro estudio  el  m\u00e1s detectado fue el maltrato emocional. El lugar donde m\u00e1s se produce sigue siendo el domicilio y el agresor, un familiar. Conclusiones: la detecci\u00f3n del mti es coincidente con la de todos los pa\u00edses y estudios analizados, aunque contin\u00faa siendo insuficiente. Se recomienda mejorar la formaci\u00f3n de los profesionales y dise\u00f1ar un cuestionario de detecci\u00f3n apropiado para el summa 112.  abstract objective: to identify the available evidence on child abuse suffered by minors (0-18 years old) detected in emergency medical services and torelate it to the prevalence of the ca detected by a prehospital emergency service (summa 112, medical emergencies services of Madrid) in the autonomous community of Madrid. Study design: this research consists of 2 phases: scoping review and observational cross-sectional study. Sources of data: academic search premier, medline, psycinfo, psyclist, pubmed, cochrane library, epistemonikos, lilacs, enfispo, vhl, academic emergency medicine, the journal of emergency medicine, ime. Method of review: several key words were used to select observational descriptive studies on ca detection. The temporal coverage went from 2007 to 2013, both in english and in spanish. Method of the study: medical histories corresponding to the period 2008-2011, whose diagnosis codifications were related to a possible case of ca were analysed. Results: 503 articles were found of which 77 full text articles from 2007 and onwards were selected as well as 22 references to articles from the virtual health library (vhl). Staff training and the use of detection questionnaires have shown to be useful to increase new cases findings. This study also found ca prevalence to be similar to the prevalence found in the other studies. Predominant ca types found in hospital emergency services were physical and sexual abuse. Neglect occurred most frequently but was the least detected. In this study, psychological abuse was the most detected.  The most common place where it took place was the victim\u00c2\u00bfs home address and the most common aggressor was a relative. Conclusions: ca detection rates are the same as those found in all of the countries and studies analysed, although the detection continues to be insufficient.
