La b\u00fasqueda en la literatura se construy\u00f3 en torno a los t\u00e9rminos de b\u00fasqueda &quot;estudiantes de medicina&quot;, &quot;donaci\u00f3n de \u00f3rganos&quot; y &quot;trasplante&quot; y fue adaptada para cada base de datos. Las listas de referencias de los art\u00edculos identificados fueron tambi\u00e9n revisadas de forma manual con el fin de encontrar otros art\u00edculos relevantes. criterios de inclusi\u00f3n: estudios observacionales, transversales no intervencionistas cuyo objetivo primario o secundario fuese conocer la actitud de los estudiantes de medicina de cualquier pa\u00eds del mundo, edad o curso universitario hacia la doct. Aquellos estudios no publicados en ingl\u00e9s, franc\u00e9s, espa\u00f1ol o portugu\u00e9s fueron excluidos. fase ii: an\u00e1lisis de la actitud de los estudiantes de medicina espa\u00f1oles desde septiembre de 2010 hasta junio de 2011 se llev\u00f3 a cabo un estudio sociol\u00f3gico observacional, transversal y multic\u00e9ntrico de \u00e1mbito nacional espa\u00f1ol. Se obtuvo una muestra de estudiantes de medicina espa\u00f1oles estratificada por regi\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica y curso acad\u00e9mico. Para la recogida de datos se administr\u00f3 un cuestionario validado de actitud hacia la doct en las facultades de medicina participantes. resultados fase i: revisi\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica de la literatura de la b\u00fasqueda bibliogr\u00e1fica en las 4 bases de datos referidas se obtuvieron 658 resultados. 49 estudios cumplieron los criterios de inclusi\u00f3n y fueron seleccionados para su revisi\u00f3n completa, tras la cual, 35 se consideraron finalmente v\u00e1lidos y se procedi\u00f3 a un an\u00e1lisis de riesgo de sesgos para cada uno de ellos. Concluido el an\u00e1lisis, 17 art\u00edculos se consideraron  con bajo riesgo de sesgo y se incluyeron en el an\u00e1lisis estad\u00edstico. El estudio estad\u00edstico realizado mostr\u00f3 una gran heterogeneidad entre los estudios analizados. El resultado combinado result\u00f3 en una actitud de los estudiantes de medicina hacia la dotc favorable en el 76% de los casos (ic 95 %: 74.1% -78,2%). fase ii: an\u00e1lisis de la actitud de los estudiantes de medicina espa\u00f1oles 21 facultades de medicina participaron en el estudio. Se obtuvo una tasa de respuesta global del 95.73% con 9.275 estudiantes encuestados. El 80% de los estudiantes encuestados (n=7376) respondieron afirmativamente al ser preguntados acerca de si donar\u00edan sus propios \u00f3rganos, el 2% se mostraron contrarios (n=154) y el 18% indecisos (n=1754). conclusiones fase i: revisi\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica de la literatura la literatura cient\u00edfica publicada se caracteriza fundamentalmente por una gran heterogeneidad en los datos comunicados. Los resultados de la revisi\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica y el metaan\u00e1lisis realizado muestran una actitud favorable de los estudiantes de medicina en el mundo hacia la donaci\u00f3n de \u00f3rganos de cad\u00e1ver para trasplante aunque estos datos deben interpretarse con cautela.  fase ii: an\u00e1lisis de la actitud de los estudiantes de medicina espa\u00f1oles los estudiantes de medicina en espa\u00f1a se muestran favorables a la donaci\u00f3n de \u00f3rganos para trasplante cad\u00e1ver en el 80% de los casos.  la variables psicosociales que determinan una actitud desfavorable hacia la donaci\u00f3n entre los estudiantes de medicina son el sexo masculino, cursar estudios en los primeros a\u00f1os de carrera, no haber comentado con la familia o en c\u00edrculo social acerca de la donaci\u00f3n de \u00f3rganos, saber de una opini\u00f3n desfavorable paterna, materna o de la pareja hacia la donaci\u00f3n, no ser donante de sangre, no conocer los preceptos de la propia religi\u00f3n hacia la donaci\u00f3n, declararse cat\u00f3lico, no aceptar la incineraci\u00f3n y\/o una autopsia y confesarse temeroso hacia la manipulaci\u00f3n postmortem del propio cad\u00e1ver.  objectives phase i: systematic review of the literature to know the opinion of medical students worldwide toward cadaveric organ donation for transplantation (odt) by conducting a systematic review of the international literature. phase ii: analysis of the attitudes of spanish medical students to know the opinion of the medical students in spain toward odt and the psychosocial variables that determine it. to find the psychosocial profile of the medical students in spain that present an unfavorable opinion towards odt. material and methods phase i: systematic review of the literature the clinical question to answer in this systematic review was: have medical students a favorable opinion towards odt? to answer this clinical question the following electronic databases were reviewed: embase, pubmed\/medline, lilacs, psycinfo and cochrane database library. The literature research was built around the search terms &quot;medical students&quot;, &quot;organ donation&quot; and &quot;transplantation&quot; and was adapted for each database. The reference lists of identified articles were also manually reviewed in order to find other relevant articles. inclusion criteria: observational, cross-sectional and non-interventional studies whose primary or secondary aim was to know the attitude of medical students (from any country of the world, age or academic year) toward odt. Those studies not published in english, french, spanish or portuguese were excluded. phase ii: analysis of the attitudes of medical students spanish from september 2010 to june 2011 an observational, cross-sectional, multicentric sociological study was conducted in spain. A sample of spanish medical students stratified by geographic region and academic year was obtained. A validated questionnaire on attitude towards odt was administered for data collection in the faculties of medicine participants.  results phase i: systematic review of the literature the literature research on the 4 data bases referred retrieved 658 records of which 38 were duplicates and therefore discarded. After abstract screening 49 studies met the inclusion criteria and were selected for full review. Of these, 17 articles were considered as valuable after full review and risk of bias assessment and were included in the statistical analysis. The statistical study showed a great heterogeneity among the studies reviewed. The combined result was a favorable attitude of medical students toward odt in 76% of cases (95% ci: 74.1% -78.2%). phase ii: analysis of the attitudes of medical students spanish 21 medical schools participated in the study. The overall response rate was 95.73%, with 9,275 surveyed students. The 80% of this students (n=7376) responded affirmatively when asked about whether donate their own organs, 2% were opposed (n=154) and 18% undecided (n=1754).  conclusions phase i: systematic review of the literature the scientific literature is mainly characterized by its great heterogeneity in the reported data. The results of the systematic review and meta-analysis showed a favorable attitude of medical students in the world toward odt although these data should be interpreted with caution.  phase ii: analysis of the attitudes of medical students spanish medical students in spain are in favor of odt in 80% of cases.  the psychosocial variables that determine an unfavorable attitude toward odt among medical students are being male, studying in the early academic years, not having commented with family or social circle about organ donation, knowing an unfavorable opinion of the father, mother or partner towards organ donation, not being a blood donor, not knowing the precepts of one&apos;s religion toward donation, being catholic, not accepting incineration or an autopsy and being afraid to
