M\u00e1s concretamente se ha centrado en el dise\u00f1o de algoritmos utilizando una perspectiva de computaci\u00f3n emergente y auto-organizaci\u00f3n.   el dise\u00f1o se inspira en las capacidades de auto-organizaci\u00f3n de las colonias de insectos. Esta auto-organizaci\u00f3n consiste en ajustar la conducta en funci\u00f3n de la respuesta obtenida al realizar una acci\u00f3n en un determinado entorno. Este mismo esquema se ha trasladado a un algoritmo de b\u00fasqueda: las acciones ser\u00edan la generaci\u00f3n de soluciones y el entorno ser\u00eda el problema que se desea resolver. De este modo se consigue que el algoritmo se auto-organice seg\u00fan el estado de la b\u00fasqueda.   el punto de partida ha sido un sistema multi-agente: la meta-heur\u00edstica ant colony optimisation. La cual ha sido modificada para aplicar un enfoque cl\u00e1sico de inteligencia artificial: b\u00fasquedas en espacios de estados. Los agentes del sistema operan de manera as\u00edncrona. De este modo, se reduce la influencia a la que se ve sometido cada agente, lo cual se traduce en un mejor proceso de b\u00fasqueda, al reducirse el riesgo de estancarse por una p\u00e9rdida de diversidad.   adem\u00e1s, se ha desarrollado una din\u00e1mica auto-organizativa para regular la poblaci\u00f3n de agentes. Esta din\u00e1mica de poblaci\u00f3n permite mantener un equilibrio en la b\u00fasqueda mediante el balance de la poblaci\u00f3n de agentes tanto en tama\u00f1o como en composici\u00f3n. Estas t\u00e9cnicas de dise\u00f1o permiten disminuir el n\u00famero de par\u00e1metros del algoritmo.   todo este conjunto de ideas se materializan en la implementaci\u00f3n de un nuevo algoritmo: ant colony extended, el cual ha obtenido buenos resultados en problemas de b\u00fasqueda y optimizaci\u00f3n muy diferentes tales como el problema del viajante de comercio (tsp), problemas cl\u00e1sicos de programaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica, y planificaci\u00f3n-optimizaci\u00f3n de maniobras para barcos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
