Muri\u00f3 en una emboscada mientras cubr\u00eda la guerra de sierra leona, despu\u00e9s de haber sido testigo de los conflictos m\u00e1s destacados de la d\u00e9cada de los noventa.  la tesis, titulada \u00c2\u00bfmiguel gil moreno, la mirada comprometida de un corresponsal de guerra. Biograf\u00eda y an\u00e1lisis de sus im\u00e1genes (1993-2000)\u00c2\u00bf, analiza en la primera parte el papel de los periodistas en las zonas en guerra. A continuaci\u00f3n, el trabajo recorre las guerras de bosnia, kosovo, chechenia, congo, ruanda y sierra leona, de las que aporta su contexto hist\u00f3rico, y el trabajo que realiz\u00f3 miguel gil moreno en cada una de ellas. Para ello, se han utilizado como fuentes numerosos testimonios de amigos y compa\u00f1eros de trabajo, y documentos in\u00e9ditos, como los cuadernos personales de gil moreno.  la \u00faltima parte de la tesis se centra en las im\u00e1genes que grab\u00f3 durante sus a\u00f1os de ejercicio profesional. Se trata de im\u00e1genes en bruto, sin editar, lo cual plantea una evidente dificultad metodol\u00f3gica. El marco te\u00f3rico definido en torno a la mirada del periodista, sus condicionamientos y sus repercusiones permite diferenciar cuatro rasgos, que se han tomado como categor\u00edas esenciales para el an\u00e1lisis: el riesgo, la exclusividad, la exhaustividad y la esperanza.  miguel gil moreno alcanz\u00f3 un elevado prestigio profesional, reconocido en dos premios internacionales (rory peck y royal television society) y en las exclusivas que consigui\u00f3.  pero adem\u00e1s, sus im\u00e1genes tambi\u00e9n sirven para confirmar los testimonios de quienes le conocieron, y hablaban de \u00e9l como un periodista extraordinario, no solo en lo profesional, sino tambi\u00e9n, y muy especialmente, en lo humano. Su manera de acercarse a las v\u00edctimas de las guerras, de comprometerse por rescatar la humanidad perdida; en sus propias palabras, de \u00c2\u00bfdar voz a los que no tienen voz\u00c2\u00bf se refleja en sus im\u00e1genes, y le convierte en una figura imprescindible en el mundo del periodismo.    miguel gil moreno (1967-2000) was a spanish war correspondent who developed his career as a cameraman in the international news agency ap. He died in an ambush while covering the war in sierra leone, after having witnessed and reported the most important conflicts of the nineties. the thesis entitled \u00abmiguel gil moreno, war correspondent\u00c2\u00bfs committed gaze\u00c2\u00bf aims to examine an innovative and particular professional perspective in broadcasting violent confrontations which stressed a very sensitive approach to the direct victims of the military interventions.  after providing a historical context of the conflicts, the work analyses miguel gil moreno professional performance covering the wars in bosnia, kosovo, chechnya, congo, rwanda and sierra leone. Sources of the research range from personal testimonies of the significant friends and colleagues of gil moreno to unpublished documents, such as confidential gil moreno\u00c2\u00bfs notebooks, as well as filmed scenes never released. The last part of the thesis focuses on that raw footage, unedited, which raises obvious methodological difficulties to be properly analysed.  the theoretical framework defined around the \u00c2\u00bfgaze of the journalist\u00c2\u00bf, their conditions and their impact can distinguish four features, which have been taken as essential categories of analysis: risk, exclusivity, completeness and hope. miguel gil moreno reached a high professional prestige, recognized in two international awards (rory peck and royal television society) and the scoops he got. In addition, their images also serve to confirm the testimonies of those who knew him, and spoke of him as an outstanding journalist, not only professionally, but also, and especially, in human aspect. His approach to war victims, committing to rescue lost humanity; in his own words, to \u00abgive voice to the voiceless\u00bb is reflected in his images, and makes him an essential figure in the world
