Ambas soluciones inciden negativamente en la optimizaci\u00c2\u00bfn de la red de transporte, bien disminuyendo el margen de seguridad del sistema el\u00c2\u00bfctrico o incrementando el coste final de la energ\u00c2\u00bfa el\u00c2\u00bfctrica.En esta tesis se plantea el uso de dispositivos facts (flexible ac transmission systems) como alternativa al redespacho de generaci\u00c2\u00bfn o al desmallado de la red por sobrecarga de alguna de las l\u00c2\u00bfneas de transporte. As\u00c2\u00bf, se propone una metodolog\u00c2\u00bfa para la selecci\u00c2\u00bfn y dimensionado de un facts serie, en concreto el sssc, para el control del flujo de potencia en la red el\u00c2\u00bfctrica de transporte.Dentro de la metodolog\u00c2\u00bfa propuesta, se estudia el sistema el\u00c2\u00bfctrico y se acota la problem\u00c2\u00bftica de gesti\u00c2\u00bfn de flujo de cargas, se identifican los elementos del sistema el\u00c2\u00bfctrico que influyen en la gesti\u00c2\u00bfn de la potencia en la l\u00c2\u00bfnea y se proponen los modelos de simulaci\u00c2\u00bfn
