El gran auge de este tipo de materiales se debe a su versatilidad estructural y funcional, que hace de ellos excelentes candidatos para su aplicaci\u00c2\u00bfn en diferentes campos, como almacenamiento de combustibles gaseosos, separaci\u00c2\u00bfn y purificaci\u00c2\u00bfn de gases, cat\u00c2\u00bflisis heterog\u00c2\u00bfnea, sens\u00c2\u00bfrica, transporte y liberaci\u00c2\u00bfn de f\u00c2\u00bfrmacos, etc. Hasta la fecha, la mayor\u00c2\u00bfa de las investigaciones se han centrado en desarrollar nuevos mofs, analizar sus propiedades y explorar nuevas aplicaciones, sin reparar en los inconvenientes de sus s\u00c2\u00bfntesis que limitan su explotaci\u00c2\u00bfn comercial. Entre estos inconvenientes destacan el uso de disolventes t\u00c2\u00bfxicos, reactores y t\u00c2\u00bfcnicas dif\u00c2\u00bfciles de implementar a gran escala, adem\u00c2\u00bfs del empleo de ligandos costosos, complejos y no comerciales. Con el fin de buscar alternativas que ayuden a fomentar el mercado de los mofs y su aplicaci\u00c2\u00bfn comercial, la presente memoria de tesis propone diversas aproximaciones sint\u00c2\u00bfticas. En primer lugar, se establece por vez primera la s\u00c2\u00bfntesis de mofs en ausencia de disolvente asistida mediante calentamiento convencional e irradiaci\u00c2\u00bfn microondas. La ausencia de disolvente, hace de la s\u00c2\u00bfntesis un proceso medioambientalmente m\u00c2\u00bfs sostenible, econ\u00c2\u00bfmico, seguro y f\u00c2\u00bfcilmente escalable a nivel industrial. Asimismo, se han explorado diversas rutas de s\u00c2\u00bfntesis para realizar modificaciones microestructurales que permitan obtener mofs ultraporosos (3062-6032 m2\u00c2\u00bfg-1) y mofs meso\/macroporosos (20-180 nm) a costes comparativamente bajos, empleando siempre ligandos sencillos y disolventes verdes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
