Materiales y metodos: en este estudio se han utilizado nueve perros de raza beagle procedentes del animalario de la universidad de murcia, con una edad comprendida entre los 14 y los 16 meses y con un peso aproximado de entre 16 y 18 kg. Los perros presentan mand\u00edbulas intactas, dentici\u00f3n permanente totalmente erupcionada sin ning\u00fan tipo de trauma oclusal. Los espec\u00edmenes mostraron buenas condiciones de salud general y oral. Resultados : los resultados ponen de manifiesto, a los 30 dias. El hueso inmaduro en el grupo tratado con melatonina es inferior al del grupo control y la diferencia entre las medias es estad\u00edsticamente significativa (t(8)=16,222). El hueso inmaduro en el grupo tratado con apigenina es inferior al del grupo sin tratamiento y la diferencia de medias tambi\u00e9n ha resultado significativa (t(8)=19,167). Respecto a los grupos con tratamiento, el hueso inmaduro en el grupo tratado con melatonina es inferior al del grupo tratado con flavonoides y esta diferencia es estad\u00edsticamente significativa (t(8)=10,301). A los 60 dias, el hueso inmaduro en el grupo tratado con melatonina es inferior al del grupo control y la diferencia de las medias es estad\u00edsticamente significativa (t(8)=51,001). El hueso inmaduro en el grupo tratado con apigenina es inferior al del grupo sin tratamiento y la diferencia de medias que se obtiene tambi\u00e9n ha resultado significativa (t(8)=12,441. En cuanto a los grupos a los que se ha aplicado tratamiento, en el grupo tratado con melatonina el hueso inmaduro es inferior al del grupo tratado con flavonoides y la diferencia en el segundo mes tambi\u00e9n es estad\u00edsticamente significativa (t(8)=8,714). A los 90 dias , en el grupo tratado con melatonina, el hueso inmaduro es inferior al del grupo sin tratamiento. No obstante, la diferencia de las medias no es estad\u00edsticamente significativa (t(8)=2,201). En el grupo tratado con apigenina, el hueso inmaduro tambi\u00e9n es inferior al del grupo control y la diferencia de medias que se obtiene tampoco ha resultado significativa (t(8)=,619). Si comparamos los grupos con tratamiento, en el grupo tratado con melatonina el hueso inmaduro es inferior al del grupo tratado con flavonoides; sin embargo, la diferencia en el tercer mes no es estad\u00edsticamente significativa (t (8)=1,637). Conclusion: tras la aplicaci\u00f3n de melatonina y\/o apigenina se ha observado que se produjo una disminuci\u00f3n significativa del porcentaje de hueso inmaduro a lo largo de los meses. En la apigenina la disminuci\u00f3n es menor respecto a la melatonina. El tratamiento de melatonina favorece la neoformaci\u00f3n y maduraci\u00f3n \u00f3sea en mayor medida que el tratamiento con apigenina , tanto a los 30 como a los 60 d\u00edas de la aplicaci\u00f3n. La aplicaci\u00f3n  de  melatonina  y  de  apigenina   en  alv\u00e9olos postextracci\u00f3n a los 90 d\u00edas no produce efectos diferentes en la neoformaci\u00f3n y maduraci\u00f3n \u00f3sea a la no aplicaci\u00f3n de tratamiento. El tratamiento implantol\u00f3gico es una opci\u00f3n terap\u00e9utica y eficaz, muy demandada y con muy buenos resultados. La aplicaci\u00f3n de melatonina, sola o combinada con otras sustancias mejora la osteointegraci\u00f3n. Tanto la melatonina y apigenina demostraron sus ventajas en la maduraci\u00f3n \u00f3sea, aunque el tratamiento de melatonina favorece la neoformaci\u00f3n y maduraci\u00f3n \u00f3sea en mayor medida que el tratamiento con apigenina. abstract  objectives: the main objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of melatonin and implementation of a new flavonoid (apigenin) on the new formation and bone maturation over a period of 30, 60 and 90 days by histological and histomorphometric study. Materials and methods: in this study we have used nine beagle dogs from the animal facility of the university of murcia, with ages between 14 and 16 months and weighing approximately 16 to 18 kg. Dogs have intact jaws, fully erupting permanent teeth with no occlusal trauma. The specimens showed good general conditions and oral health. Results: the results show, 30 days. The immature bone in the group treated with melatonin smaller than the control group and the difference in means is statistically significant (t (8) = 16,222). The immature bone in the group treated with apigenin smaller than the untreated group and the mean difference has also been significant (t (8) = 19,167). With respect to the treatment groups, the immature bone in the group treated with melatonin smaller than the group treated with flavonoids and this difference is statistically significant (t (8) = 10,301). At 60 days, the immature bone in the group treated with melatonin smaller than the control group and the difference in means is statistically significant (t (8) = 51.001). Comparing the treatment groups in the group treated with melatonin immature bone smaller than the group treated with flavonoids; however, the difference in the third month is not statistically significant (t (8) = 1.637). Conclusion: after  the application of melatonin and \/ or apigenin it has been observed that there was a significant decrease in the percentage of immature bone along months. In apigenin is decreased lower compared to melatonin. Melatonin treatment promotes neoformation of bone maturation and further treatment with apigenin, both 30 and 60 days after application. The application of melatonin and apigenin in extraction sockets 90 days does not produce different effects on the newly formed bone maturation and the non-application of treatment. Implant therapy is a therapeutic and effective, high demand and very successful option. The application of melatonin, alone or combined with other substances improving osseointegration. Both melatonin and apigenin showed its advantages in bone maturation, although melatonin treatment promotes neoformation and bone maturation greater extent than treatment with
