La formacion de este precursor peptidico  in vivo  es tanto mayor cuanto mas grande es la capacidad de la cepa en la produccion del antibiotico. La formacion de acv no esribosomal y presenta un recambio intracelular cuando no es tranformado inmediatamente en el antibiotico. Su sintesis es inducida por la presencia de precursores de la cadena lateral en la fermentacion y es reprimida por glucosa. El alfa-aaa incrementa la formacion del acv y es inhibido por iodoacetamida  inhibidores de proteasas  glutation lisina y analogos de valina. Los estudios de biosintesis de acv  in vitro   establecieron un modelo de sintesis estrechamente relacionado con la formacion de glutation determinandose un proceso biosintetico en dos pasos consecutivos: formacion de un dipeptido y condensacion de este con la valina originando el tripeptido acv. La actividad enzimatica se localizo tanto en las fracciones solubles como particuladas de losextractos acelulares.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
