Jim\u00e9nez Mart\u00ednez <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Esta investigaci\u00f3n pretende ser una reflexi\u00f3n en torno al tema del paisaje en la pintura contempor\u00e1nea puertorirque\u00f1a en su despliegue hist\u00f3rico. el prop\u00f3sito de este estudio no ha sido historiar el que hacer de todos los paisajistas puertorrique\u00f1os, sino profundizar sobre la presentaci\u00f3n y significaci\u00f3n del paisaje en la pintura destacandolas formas en las que ha aparecido y las funciones que ha cumplido en el devenir hist\u00f3rico.  el paisaje en la pintura contempor\u00e1nea se aborda desde una perspectiva doble: primero como un documento y un testimonio visual y segundo como una objetivaci\u00f3n est\u00e9tica.  se ha vertebrado el cuerpo de la tesis en seis cap\u00edtulos con varios ep\u00edgrafes cada uno y en los que hemos destacado lo siguiente: la teor\u00eda del paisaje, el estado actual del paisaje en la historiograf\u00eda contempor\u00e1nea, las convenciones de los paisajes europeos adoptados en los paisajes americanos el momento de despunte del paisaje puertorrique\u00f1o y su desarrollo hasta las primeras d\u00e9cadas del siglo xx, los paisajes de denucnia de la d\u00e9cada del cincuenta y los paisajes puros, imaginarios y gen\u00e9ricos de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas del siglo pasado.  cerramos nuestras disquisiones sobre el tema que nos ocupa concluyendo que el paisaje en la pintura puertorrique\u00f1a mantiene, entre otras tendencias importantes, el embellecimiento de los argumentos y la ocultaci\u00f3n del deterioro ecol\u00f3gico de los entornos naturales en la representaci\u00f3n.
