Se realiza una seleccion de agentes azeotropicos y se estudia su eficacia en la purificacion de cada ester. Se determinan diagramas liquido-vapor isobaricos de sistemas agente-ester  necesarios para conocer la etapa de separacion del exceso de agente que hay que utilizar para asegurar la separacion completa. Se estudia la recuperacion del agente azeotropico mediante extraccion liquido-liquido utilizando agua como disolvente y se determina el diagrama liquido-liquido del sistema nheptano-acido
