Este patron de desarrolloparalelo a la sinaptogenesis junto con la localizacion mayoritariamente sinaptosomal de los receptores parece indicar la ubicacion predominantemente neuronal de los receptores h sub 1. Una peque\u00f1a parte de los receptores esta localizada en estructuras microvasculares. Las hormonas tiroideas regulan el numero de receptores h sub 1 durante el desarrollo en el estado hipotiroideo se retarda la adquisicion del numero total de receptores h sub 1 propio del estado adulto  en el estado hipertiroideo se observa una aceleracion en el proceso.
