La calidad de la solucion final de dialisis en espa\u00f1a ha mejorado durante la ultima decada, sin embargo, incluso concentraciones muy bajas de aluminio en la misma(4-10 ug\/l), continuan siendo una fuente de exposicion al aluminio no despreciable. Todavia existe un porcentaje importante de centros de dialisis espa\u00f1oles (4,1%) con unos niveles de aluminio en la solucion final de dialisis altos. El test de la desferrioxamina para el diagnostico de la sobrecarga aluminica se encuentra infuenciado por el estado de saturacion del hierro tanto en pacientes como en modelos de experimentacion animal. El solucromo de azurina tiene una sensibilidad mas alta que el aluminon para detectar los depositos de aluminio del hueso, sin embargo, al igual que el alumin\u00f3n, tambien se ve interferido por el hierro. La tecnica de dialisis pfd fue mas eficaz que la dialisis convencional de baja permeabiliad en la eliminacion de aluminio mediante dialisis, aunque su eficiencia fue similar a la dialisis de alta
