Se muestra que los efectos de la friccion no intervienen de modo apreciable durante el periodo de cierre o apertura cuando este es peque\u00f1o frente al tiempo de residencia. Estos efectos de la friccion intervienen en el postcierre o postapertura amortiguando lentamente las oscilaciones generadas anteriormente.  como consecuencia del cierre de valvulas pueden generarse depresiones que originen la aparicion de una cavidad por rotura de la columna liquida  en alguna seccion del conducto y burbujas a lo largo del mismo. Se analiza la dinamica de la cavidad y las sobre presiones generadas en el colapso para los casos en que el tiempo de existencia de la cavidad es del orden del de ida y vueltas de las ondas y en los
