Se ha observado que adem\u00e1s del sra circulante, existe uno a nivel local (ri\u00f1on, vaso, corazon) cuyos niveles se encuentran elevados en estas situaciones. En estas patolog\u00edas se ha encontrado activaci\u00f3n de factores de trascripcion, como nf-kby ap-1, que regule la expresi\u00f3n de genes implicados en estos procesos. Ene ste trabajo hemos estudiado la hip\u00f3tesis de  que la angll pueda comportarse como una verdadera citoquina proinflamatoria y profibrogenica. La infusi\u00f3n sistemica de angll en ratas normales aument\u00f3 de forma significativa la actividad renal y vascular de nf-kb y ap-1, la presi\u00f3n sanguinea, el da\u00f1o tubular y el infiltrado inflamatorio. Adem\u00e1s, las celulas infiltrantes presentaron nf-kb activado, lo que sugiere la participacion de la angll en la activaci\u00f3n de las celulas inflamatorias. en ri\u00f1\u00f3n y aorta, la angll aumento la produccion de mediadores implicados en el da\u00f1o tisular, cmo tnf-a,ctgf y pthrp. Cuando los animales se trataron con antagonistas de los receptores de angiotensina at1 o at2, se observaron respuestas diferentes. El antagonista at1 normalizo la presion arterial, disminuy\u00f3 la actividad de nf-kb en celulas glomerulares y tubulares, y disminuyo la actividad ap-1 en celulas renales, el da\u00f1o tubular, la fibrosis y la producci\u00f3n renal de ctgf y pthrp. El antagonista at2 disminuy\u00f3 significativamente el infiltrado infiltrado inflamatorio y la actividad de nf-kb en celulas glomerulares e inflamatorias. Por otro lado, en celulas epiteliales tubulares en cultivo, la angll aument\u00f3 la actividad de nf-kb solo via at1, mientras que en celulas mesangiales, mononucleares y del musculo liso vascular, ambos receptores participaron en este proceso. En cultivos de celulas epiteliales tubulares, la angll activo el factor ap-1 a trav\u00e9s del receptor at1.
