Esta unidad de registro s\u00edsmico conforma una red local cuya finalidad es la detecci\u00f3n, registro y an\u00e1lisis de eventos locales de baja intensidad. Dado que se trata de analizar se\u00f1ales no estacionarias.  resulta m\u00e1s apropiado realizar un an\u00e1lisis tiempo-frecuencia de la se\u00f1al. dentro de este tipo de transformadas, se emplea la transformada discreta de wavelet y la transformado  discreta de wavelet packet. Como aplicaciones se proponen los siguientes: filtrado de la se\u00f1al, devoluci\u00f3n de la respuesta instrumental con el objetivo de obtener el movimiento del &#8212; a pic de sensor, y la estimaci\u00f3n del \u00e1ngulo azimot a partir de una \u00fanica estaci\u00f3n de tres componentes, lo cual permite determinar de manera autom\u00e1tica la localizaci\u00f3n de un evento dado. Los m\u00e9todos propuestos se aplican sobre se\u00f1ales sint\u00e9ticas con el fin de evaluarlos de la manera m\u00e1s objetivo posible.
