Por ello, dcc ha sido propuesto desde su identificaci\u00f3n, como buen candidato a supresor tumoral. Dcc codifica para una prote\u00edna transmembrana de aproximadamente 180 kda, cuyo dominio extracelular contiene 6 subdominios fibronectina tipo iii y 4 inmunoglobulina c-like. Por ello dcc, junto con la neogenina, forma una subfamilia dentro de la superfamilia de las inmunoglobulinas. en cambio el dominio intracelular, forma una subfamilia dentro de la superfamilia de las inmunoglobulinas. En cambio el dominio intracelular no posee consensus de dominios funcionales ni homolog\u00edas con otras prote\u00ednas a excepci\u00f3n de la negoenina. En cuanto a su funci\u00f3n celular, se ha demostrado que el dcc act\u00faa como receptor de la netrina-1 en el sistema nervioso, ejerciendo un papel en la gu\u00eda axonal durante el desarrollo. Por otra parte, se hab\u00eda propuesto con anterioridad que dcc pod\u00eda tener un papel en la diferenciaci\u00f3n mucrosecretora y neuronal, y en la adhesi\u00f3n celular de c\u00e9lulas pc-12 y fibroblastos. M\u00e1s recientemente se ha implicado dcc en la apoptosis y el ciclo celular. El objetivo de esta tesis ha sido elucidar la funci\u00f3n del dcc en las c\u00e9lulas del sistema gastrointestinal. Para ello, hemos analizado la expresi\u00f3n del dcc por rt-pcr en un papel de l\u00edneas celulares derivados de c\u00e1ncer de colon que presentan diferentes fenotipos o grados de diferenciaci\u00f3n y por immunohistoqu\u00edmica en tejido normal. Nuestros resultados sugieren que el dcc no tiene una implicaci\u00f3n directa en la diferenciaci\u00f3n mucosecretora o absortiva de las c\u00e9lulas del epitelio gastrointestinal. De acuerdo con esta hip\u00f3tesis, la expresi\u00f3n ect\u00f3pica del dcc, mediante tranfecci\u00f3n estable en c\u00e9lulas ht-29, no induce la expresi\u00f3n de marcadores de
