Las medidas se obtienen a partir de la substracci\u00f3n digital de las im\u00e1genes registradas antes y despu\u00e9s de la modificaci\u00f3n del objeto.  los dos primeros interfer\u00f3metros propuestos suponen una mejora, respecto a las tecnicas existentes, en cuanto a la determinaci\u00f3n de la deformaci\u00f3n en plano (pure in plane strain), pero no logran, en una medida directa, discriminarla totalmente de la deformaci\u00f3n fuera de plano. El tercer interfer\u00f3metro, sin embargo, permite realizar dicha discriminaci\u00f3n. Hasta el momento, ning\u00fan instrumento \u00f3ptico ofrec\u00eda este tipo de ventaja. Las t\u00e9cnicas empleadas proporcionan medias en tiempo real y sin contacto con la superficie del objeto.  se presentan diferentes resultados experimentales que prueban la validez de las hip\u00f3tesis te\u00f3ricas as\u00ed como una revisi\u00f3n bibliografica discutiendo las dificultades que diversas tecnicas de metrolog\u00eda optica para la medici\u00f3n de las deformaciones mecanicas en plano.
