Su obra es extensa y su estilo es de una calidad considerable. Pertenece a la \u00abgeneraci\u00f3n del medio siglo\u00bb. Alejado de las tertulias literarias ha optado por dedicarse a la lectura, escritura y critica literaria. Goytisolo es un autor polifacetico. adem\u00e1s de publicar un numero respetable de obras narrativas -entre ellas novelas,colecci\u00f3n de relatos, libros de viajes-, es autor tambien de varios libros de ensayos, publicados en revistas nacionales y extranjeras. En sus obras, lo arabe asume diferentes grados, desde el rechazo a lo hispanico en reivindicacion del conde don julian hasta la saciedad del texto en juan sin tierra, makbara y paisajes despues de la batalla. En juan sin tierra, o oriental y lo marroqui ganan un espacio independiente a traves de un personajes de personalidad contradictoria. En makbara el narrador ya abandona espa\u00f1a. Ese alejamiento lo convierte en uno de los rechazados para siempre.  este trabajo se divide en tres partes: en la primera parte, podemos presenciar un acercamiento a la epoca de juan goytisolo, entendido desde dos entornos; historico y cultural; efemerides sobre el escritor; perfil humano y literario, autorretrato goytisoliano; e influencias y corrientes literarias. Para terminar, el escritor y los de su tiempo. La segunda parte trata el tema de la novela espa\u00f1ola, desde la posguerra hasta la transici\u00f3n, como un preambulo de la novelistica de juan goytisolo; espa\u00f1a y goytisolo, y juan y el exilio. En la tercera parte, aparece una entrevista personal e in\u00e9dita que realice con juan goytisolo, en el hotel arco de san juan de murcia, que lleva como titulo :\u00bbcara a cara con juan goytisolo\u00bb. Tambien encontramos su vision del mundo arabe, desde dos enfoques: novelistico y personal; la angustia erotica del escritor y su relaci\u00f3n con el mundo arabe; la espiritualidad suf\u00ed y la
