La histamina dio lugar a una vasoconstriccion mediada por receptores h sub 1 en ambos tipos de arterias y a una vasodilatacion, solo en arterias cerebrales, en la que estaban implicados los receptores h sub 2 acoplados a la ademilciclosa. Morphina indujo una respuesta bifasica en vasos cerebrales en condiciones basales, con incremento inicial de la entrada de ca elevado a 2+ dando vasoconstriccion y una disminucion posterior de su entrada dando vasodilatacion.  existe un antagonismo entre morfina y ca elevado a 2+ en estas arterias. En los vasos cerebrales el opioide no produjo efecto. El bay-k-8644 causo respuestas vasoconstrictoras producidas por facilitacion de la entrada de ca elevado a 2+ a la celula sin necesidad de cepolarizacion parcial en arterias cerebrales mientras que
